Bella Bellariffic

This weeks Bellariffic Friday challenge was anything BELLA! It was fun to go back through my Bella's and deciding on which one to ink up.

I knew I wanted to use some new paper I had from Crate paper's Bliss collection and I thought DaisyBella would be perfect. I stamped her onto bella's bestest paper and coloured her with copics. I added some stickles to the flower on her shirt & used atyou spica pens on her hairband. The flower is coloured and popped up and I added a bella bonbon to the centre. I stitched the ds paper and added some flowers using my kajinker.

Make sure you stop by Bloggabella to see all the beautiful Bellas and remember to leave a comment to win some bella bucks!

Have a great Friday

Pure Sweetness...

I was so excited when I went to the mailbox Tuesday and mixed in with all the junk (bills) was my order from MFT!! Like everyone else I am very impatient when I am waiting for my new stamps and it takes a little longer for them to make their way to Canada!

I wanted to play along with Mercy's sketch this week (MTSC48) so I inked up Snow Day and coloured her with copics. I was smart & made 6 cards to add to my Christmas stash; I find doing 6 an easy number because you can add details to them and it's not overwhelming (hopefully I remember that for next year!). On her pocket and buttons I used my clear glaze pen, and added some clear stickles to the pom poms on her toque (eh!). For the snow I used liquid applique and utra fine glitter.

The card is 9x4 so for my embossed chocolate chip pieces I ran them through the big shot 2x and just matched up the edges; it was easier then I thought. I used Quickutz snowflakes embossing folder. The DS paper is from Bo Bunny's This the Season line which I paper pieced. I added some red ribbon and used my Martha Stewart snowflake punch and finish it with a crystal bella bonbon.

Thanks Mercy for another inspiring sketch!

Have a great day -

Digi Birthday Wishes

I finally entered the world of digital stamps this week, I know most of you have been enjoying them for a long time what can I say I'm a little slow at jumping on these great images.

I ordered this sweet Birthday Ian from the Greeting Farm and printed it onto
Neenah paper. I coloured him with copics and used my yellow and clear atyou spica pen on the presents bows and my glaze pen on the paper so the wrapping is shiney in person.

For my inspiration I used this weeks Sweet n Sassy sketch over on The Sweet Stop blog (SSS30). I also played along with the Corrosive Challenge (CCBJ38) this week which was to emboss anything - I used Cuttlebugs Spots & Dots on my base cs. The paper is all from Taylored Expressions Places You Will Go Key Ingredients kit.
Thanks for stopping by - have a fantastic day

Funky Dandelion

My hubby needed a sympathy card for a friend; I always find these cards hard to make but I am really pleased how Stamping Bella's Funky Dandelions worked for this card.

I intended on using TESC91 as my sketch, but my image was bigger then it should have been so I altered the sketch a fair bit. I grabbed some markers (cameo coral, so saffron & sage shadow) to ink up the dandelion, to blend the 2 colours together I sponged on some saffron ink. Once the images were stamped I cut them out with nesties and added some glamour dust glitter.

The cb is ivory layered with prima paper and the ds paper is from cosmo crickets earth love collection. I paper pierced around the edges and added the yellow ribbon and bow. I put the sentiment inside the card.

This weeks Bellariffic Friday challenge is anything bella; so ink up one of you bella girls and send your card to Em (emily@stampingbella.com) midnight Thursday in order to be showcased & have a chance to win bella bucks!

Thanks for stopping by & have a fantastic day

Happy Birthday NANCY!!

Welcome to our birthday blog hop for Nancy! I met Nancy when I was still living in Toronto and she was teaching at a scrapbooking store; I loved her classes she inspired me so much! THEN Nancy had an SU party & I was hooked; yep this whole slippery slope started with her party!

Now Nancy creates amazing blog banners for charity and is the designer for Taylored Expressions Whimsical Wishes line, plus she has the most amazing blog creations on her blog Card Worthy!

For her birthday card I chose one of her Whimsical Wishes lines "For the Love of Cupcakes" and the sentiment is from Whimsical Wishes "Fresh Flowers". I used Karen G. Sweet Sunday sketch (SSSC44) for my layout. The image is stamped with mementos ink and coloured with copics. I paper pieced the base of the cupcake with DS paper and the top is prima paper that I added some Mermaid Glitz Stickles. The paper is from my Sept Key Ingredients Kit from Taylored Expressions. On the chipboard flowers I used Walnut Glimmer Mist
and buttons.

Now make sure you stop by and wish Nancy a very Happy Birthday and hop along and see all the amazing birthday wishes!
Thanks for stopping by & Happy Birthday Nancy!!

Wild Card Bellariffic

This weeks Bellariffic Friday was "wild card" meaning anything goes!! At first I wasn't sure how I was going to pick from my overflowing bindahs, but then I remembered I need a birthday card for a girlfriend next week. I chose Addy 'tude oves her 'tinis because my friend is going a wine/liquor tasting event on her birthday!

Mercy's sketch was my starting point again this week (MTSC47) and Addy 'tude is stamped with mementos ink onto bella's bestest paper and coloured with copics. I added some lemon yellow liquid pearl to the center of the flowers, crystal glaze on her glasses, crystal stickles in the 'tini glasses and clear glaze pen on the seat.

The ds paper is from my stash; I honestly don't know where or when I bought it, it's a 6x6 book from black market paper called Rhythm. I stitched along the ds paper and rose red & along the edges of the ribbon. I added some prima flowers and a pink crackle dot from Stamping Bella

I'm a little late posting today because it was date night last night & I was too tired when I got home to do my post; we went & saw Buckcherry & KISS & it was FANTASTIC!! Make sure you stop by Bloggabella to see all the amazing Wild Cards this week!

A Snowball Story...

I was counting my Christmas cards - I only have 75 (including 15 that are 1/2 made) so I have about another 30 to go! When I finished this card tonight I wished I made more then 6, although I am not sure how mail friendly they are they are pretty thick!

I saw this great challenge on Crazy 4 Challenges (C4C10) this week to make an easel card, which I have never done so I wanted to try (click here for the instructions). I used Elzybell's Mischievous and a "made a snowball" as my stamps & I was really happy with how it turned out. The directions are to add a brad or button to hold the card in place, but my bases are 130lb cardstock so I didn't need to add anything & it took away from the "made a snowball" story.

Mischievous is stamped with mementos ink and coloured with copics, I added some purple Taylor's Tiny Twinkles for the buttons on her coat. For the snowballs and snow on the ground I used liquid applique and ultra fine glitter & just let it dry, for the snow falling I used my quickie glue pen and the same glitter. The DS paper is from Fancy Pants Arctic Chill collection called Snowball

Thanks for stopping by, I hope you are closer to finishing your Christmas cards then I am!!

Welcome back bug...

Back in March our favourite restaurant in Calgary suffered damage from a fire in the business next door to them and we have been waiting patiently (and impatiently) for them to re-open and today was the day! As soon as we found out we booked ourselves in tonight & I wanted to make a card to let then know how much we missed - we've been going for years and even when we were living out east it was our first stop in Calgary!

I saw this great sketch from Just us Girls (JUGS6) on Wendy's blog this weekend and knew it was the perfect layout for my card. I stamped Cheffa Huggabugg, but because it's an Italian Restaurant I masked the cake on the plate when I stamped the image so I could draw in pasta. The image is stamped on bella's bestest paper and coloured with copics. The ds paper is from Bo Bunny's Kitchen Sink line (how perfect is that?!) I paper pierced around the edges and added some ribbon and buttons. I didn't have a welcome back stamp so I just printed it off the computer and cut it out with nesties ovals. I added some glamour dust glitter to his wings and smooched it so it was subtle

Dinner was absolutely FANTASTIC; the fire happened when Karen was here in March on the morning we were suppose to go so now she can come back & visit & go to my favourite little spot!

Thanks for stopping by - this weeks bellariffic challenge is "wild card" meaning anything Stamping Bella goes! I thought this was a fantastic idea until I realized now I have to go through my overstuffed bindah(s) and pick an image with no direction; that could take awhile! Remember to email your cards to Em (emily@stampingbella.com) before midnight Thursday
