Izzie has Balloons

This week Stamping Bella is sponsoring the CPS 158 challenge & I was so happy I found the time & my mojo to play along!!

Izzie has balloons is stamped on Bella's bestest paper & coloured with copics. The DS paper is from My Minds Eye quite contrary line (my BFF & I went on the hunt to find this line last week!!) I chose paper from the Little Miss Muffet collection. The balloons are the ds paper and I coloured over them with a clear glaze pen to give the balloons some shine

The ribbon is white grosgrain ribbon coloured with a copics (rv17) and I added a bella bonbon to finish the card off.

Make sure you link your card to the CPS blog for a chance to win a prize & you have until tomorrow to email Em your entry for bellariffic Fridays; this week is Monocromatic!!

Have a great day & thanks for stopping by

Feeling Like Christmas

I survived the drive home from my parents on Monday; but I can honestly say I won't be driving on a holiday again (if I can help it!!) I left early (but not crazy early) to try and get ahead of traffic; the biggest problem are the 2 mountain passes I go through (one is through the Rockies & it's gorgeous!!) because trucks & trailers lose power & slow me down!! Between all the travellers and the animals along & on the hwy (black bear, deer several times & mountain goats) it made for an exhausting day SO yesterday I didn't accomplish anything but groceries!!

ANYWAYS...This week Da Bella (Stamping Bella) is sponsoring the CPS- card sketch How cool is that?!?! First I loved the sketch so it was easy to do today & it helped me get my groove back on. Since it tried to snow when I was driving home Monday around Banff & it's trying to snow today here it was easy to do a Christmas card.

I chose Wreathabella for this layout, haven't inked her up for awhile and anytime I get to use a bella I'm happy. I stamped her with Memento ink and coloured her with copics. I added stickles for the berries and the fringe on her boots and hat

The DS paper is from Scenic Route(Garland). The sentiment is also from Stamping Bella and I added some 5mm ruby red bonbons

Don't forget about Bellariffic Fridays - this weeks it's this amazing Sketch from Nicky (she's the best isn't she?!) Just make sure you have your card emailed to Em by 5pm est Thursday to be entered in the draw for bella bucks

Thanks for stopping by & tomorrow I will be rockin'....

Words that Ring True...

When I checked out Card Positionings Systems challenge this week (CPS110) I wasn't sure how to make my card; then I decided to step outside my comfort box and make a card where the sentiment was the focal point.

The sentiment is from Cornish Heritage Farms Mona Lisa's Moments which I bought at Paper Pastimes in Calgary; they have a fantastic selection of stamps there so I always stop in when I am in the area. The sentiment is stamped on SU's whisper white with Real Red ink and cut with an oval nesties and layered on SU's Bashful Blue & Kiwi Kiss cs which was also cut with oval nesties. I love how the large & small ovals give you such nice layering.

The card base is white cs, layered with Kiwi Kiss and Bashful Blue. The swirl is SU's Baroque Motifs stamped with Kiwi Kiss ink. I added some red Prima flowers from my collection and added some clear Rhinestones, I added Rhinestones to the corner because it looked a little plain - you can never have too much bling!!
Happy Monday - it's actually Spring Like here I just hope it lasts & we are done with the snow; but never say never in Calgary!!

Have a great day & thanks for stopping by
