Bella Love

I am soooo excited about the release from Stamping Bella; you know Em & Nicky always find the best stuff!!

In honour of the release I decided I should use on of my new Bella's PLUS I really have to get my valentine cards made because they are now going to be late!!!
For this card I managed to complete 3 different challenges; BSC66, CTD28 and OCCC challenge from
Saturday - you had to use a heart 2 different ways on your card :)
Jugglabella is stamped with Memento black ink on Gina K Pure Luxury paper and coloured with Copics. I paper pieced her skirt & top with SU's DS paper in Riding Hood Red and Pink Pirouette. The hearts have SU glitter in red.
The cardbase is SU's Riding Hood Red layered with Chocolate chip and Pink Pirouette which I embossed with Sizzix hearts embossing plate. The ribbon in SU's Chocolate chip and I added Stamping Bella Dots in Strawberry Parfait. I punched the heart in Riding Hood Red and inked the edges. Jugglabella is cut with a nesties rectangle and mounted on a scalloped rectangle in Riding Hood Red.
Thanks for stopping by - happy Friday & don't forget to stop over at Stamping Bella to check out their new releases!!

A tired little bugg

I was chatting with my BFF today (shocking I know!!) and for some reason we were both yawning away -DING DING on went the light with which stamp I would use today BedBugg HuggaBugg from Stamping Bella!

I also finally had a chance to use Taylor's cupcake sketch challenge
from last Friday, she always has such great sketches!!

Bedbugg Huggabugg is stamped on Gina K's Pure Luxury cs and coloured with Copics to match the Basic Grey
DS paper "offbeat" - I love this line because of all the vibrant colours and of course all the orange :) I added some shimmer to the image with Niji Pearlescenct watercolour paints on the polka dots and the little wings.

On the Polka Dots I did a trick my great friend in TO (Burlington really) Miche like to do & added Crystal effects. On the little antennas I outlined them with my Atyou Spica pen and used silver Stickles on the dots (sorry they don't really show up in the picture)

The card base is SU's Baja Breeze, then the orange ds paper is mounted on SU's Chocolate chip. The striped DS paper is mounted on SU's Baja Breeze and the bugg is cut with a nestie and mounted on a scallop nestie of SU's Real Red.

To finish off the image I added Stamping Bella dots in Orange crackle; I used microdots that I bought from Stamping Bella and I have to say they are fantastic for those little things - thanks Em!!

Have a great Thursday & thanks for stopping by & looking

Ciao Bella

I made this card for a girlfriend in Toronto - we lived close to each other here in Calgary then both moved to TO at about the same time & again lived 10min apart so I am having a tough time not being able to have a glass (or a few) of wine with her. When my hubby saw this card he said it could be for most of my friends, I see nothing wrong with that!!

For this card I used MFTSC66. I stamped MFT's Meet me at the Cafe on Gina K's pure luxury paper with Memento black ink and coloured the image with Copics except for the paper pieced dress, for that I used Basic Grey's Bittersweet 6x6 paper; I also used this for the awning of the cafe. I added some shimmer to the pink t-shirt Niji Pearlescent watercolours and outlined the chair and table legs with my black Atyou Spica Pen.

I hate to admit it, but I have been hording my SU hodgepodge hardware; why I am really not sure just hording so i finally broke into it tonight! The sentiment is from MFT's Essential Sentiments. The ribbon is SU burgundy, the image is mounted on SU Rose Red then on Pink Pirouette and the card base is Gina K's 120 lb cs (love that for bases!)

OPPS......

It was suggested that I schedule my calendar posts for the 1st of each month; but I figured I will remember when I have a post ready right?! WRONG!!! I just sat down at my desk and looked at my calendar DUH!! So I have now taken pictures of the rest and will (hopefully) get it set to post on the 1st of each month, but really I can't make any promises....

For February I used LoveyBella from Stamping Bella. She is stamped with Mementos black on Papertrey white cs and coloured with copics. For the heart I used spicas to give it some bling. The image is mounted on SU's basic black and the calender is on Riding hood red

Thanks for stopping by - sorry I'm after the 1st!

A Little Retro....

I'm cheating a little bit - this is my post for Monday and depending where you are it will be the Monday post but if you are still up on the west coast sorry!! I realized that I had to get this card linked to SCS before 9am & I am assuming it's Eastern time.

For this card I completed Gina K's Tailored Challenge; using a tailored bow on my card, if you don't know how to make on Joanne B has a great tutorial on her blog.

The stamp is Gina K's Retro Boutique, which I stamped on Gina K's 120lb Pure Luxury cs. The dress is coloured with copics, then I paper pieced the skirt with SU ds paper in Pink Pirouette. I used dimensionals at the bottom of the skirt, but not at the top to make it look like it flows. On the top of the dress I added stickles to make it shimmer.

The image is cut with a nesties, and mounted on
su's pale plum. The image is mounted on Perfect Plum, which I embossed with D'vine Swirls and the card base is SU Pink Pirouette cs.

The Tailored Bow is SU Pink Pirouette cs - thanks for the great challenge and tutorial Joanne!
Have a great Monday

At the good ol' Hockey Game...

When we went to Montreal last weekend for the NHL All Star game we were guests of one of the companies hubby deals with so I made a thank you card for them.
Amy R's sketch for this week worked perfectly with the stamp I found in my stash (I think it's from Michael's 1.50 bin)
The image is stamped on Gina K's Pure Luxury CS and coloured with copics then mounted on SU's Night of Navy cs; both cut with nesties.

The card base is SU Riding Hood Red and the Ribbon is also Riding hood Red. The DS paper was in my stash; the one has the definition of Hockey, the other has a team logo on one side (Edmonton of course) then the side I used looks like ice after it's been skated on. The senitment is from SU's short & sweet set - I love the font and size of those words.

I decorated the inside with layers of SU's Night of navy and the DS paper I liked the look of the ice with skate marks and it would be easier to write our thanks.

Sorry for the late post; we have company staying with us so I didn't get it set to post early this morning - I am hoping I will find time to stamp this weekend

Thanks for stopping by and having a look - have a great Saturday

ALL WRAPPED UP....

Whew here is the last post for today - for this card I used Taylor's sketch that Ana Wohlfart showed.

I stamped Stamping Bella's Wrapped in Love on Gina K's Pure Luxury cs and coloured the image with copics. For the hearts I coloured them then added some stickles. I cut the image and a piece of SU's regal rose with nesties rectangle and scallop rectangle.
The card base is SU's Pink Pirouette, then I ran a piece of SU's Sahara Sand through a sizzix embossing plate and inked the hearts with Pink Pirouette. I used SU's Bravo Burgundy to mount the Sahara sand piece and the ds paper from Basic Grey's Bittersweet line. The heart is punched with Martha Stewart's heart punch and I inked the edges of the heart with Rose Red ink. To finish off the image I added some Cotton Candy Bon Bon's from Stamping Bella.

Well, I managed to make 4 cards yesterday, but I must admit I still have to put my suitcase away from the weekend so I hope I can get my domestic chores done so I can make something for tomorrow! Thanks to Taylor for the great cupcake celebration; I just wish I could have completed all the sketches

Have a great Thursday
