Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge 291

Happy Sunday!  It's time for another Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge (SSSC291)  This one was a little tricky for me!

For my card I used MFT's Let it Snow Snowflake die-namics.  They are cut with card stock twice and then sprayed with tattered angels mist.  Once they dried I layered them to give dimension to the snowflakes.  The DP is crate papers Bundled Up which I used antique linen and pine needles distress inks to soften the colour.

Petunia

Today's Bellariffic challenge was a sketch.  For my card I used Stamping Bella's sweet Petunia love Christmas.

The image is stamped with memento tuxedo black ink onto bella's bestest white card stock and coloured with pencils blended with mineral spirits.  I used a clear wink of stella pen on the red ribbon.  On the holly I added some christmas red stickles.

I didn't have any Christmas paper that matched my colours so I used a piece of dp from Bo Bunny's Enchanted Garden which I added snowflakes to using a sizzix embossing folder

This image has the perfect Christmas greeting

Sweet Sunday Sketch 289

Sorry I'm late with my Sweet Sunday Sketch this week - I'd planned to finish it Saturday and the best laid plans....  That's what I get for procrastinating!!

For this weeks sketch I made a Christmas card - I only need about 80 more!

The stamp is from Impression Obsession.  It's stamped on mixed media paper with staz on and coloured with watercolour pencils.  I added some sparkle using a wink of stella pen and a glaze pen.
The DP is kaiser crafts mistletoe.

Holiday Chicks

Happy Fridays this weeks Bellariffic Fridays Challenge was a sketch.  I decided it was a perfect time to get a holiday card made so I flipped the sketch to work with the image.

Caroling Chicks is stamped with memento tuxedo black ink and stamped onto bella's bestest white card stock.  I coloured the chicks with copics.  I added some glitter to the snowflakes and on the ground I used a clear wink of stella pen.  The dp is Crate Papers Sleigh ride.

I kept the colours on the inside of the card - this sentiment comes with this sweet sweet stamp

Sweet Sunday 249

Today's our last Sweet Sunday Sketch (SSSC249)  for 2014!!  Karen made this one a little tricky for me....

I had one idea in my head then when looking for an embossing folder I came across a Happy Holidays die from Dee's Distinctively and I knew it was perfect

The paper is from my stash, the DP is from MME but I can't recall which line!  The embossed snowflakes is from cuttlebug

Winter Inspiration

Today's Bellariffic Friday challenge was a beautiful winter scene

For my card I decided to keep it simple and went with all all white.

How to make a snowman is stamped with memento tuxedo black ink and coloured with copics.  For the background I embossed white card stock with swiss dots then stitched the layer.  I then finished it off with some white sequins.

Please stop by Bloggabella to see the rest of the babes and sistah's creations.  Next week is our last challenge of the year and it's a sketch - Email your card to Em by Thursday to be included on Bloggabella.

The Last Sketch...

I can't believe we are at our last sketch for 2013 on Bellariffic Fridays - where did the year go?!  I really liked this sketch it was perfect for an Uptown Girl

I hadn't inked Uptown Girl Charlie waits by the Chimney so it was high time I did!  The image is stamped with memento tuxedo black ink onto bella's bestest white card stock and coloured with copics, for the shading I used pencils with mineral spirits.  I used a clear atyou spica pen to add some subtle glitter to her skirt and trim on the dress and hat.  For the shading around the image I used antique linen distress ink.  Instead of a sentiment panel I used a ghost snowflake with a rhinestone in the middle.  The dp is an old one - Echo Park Everyone Loves Christmas.

Please stop by Bloggabella to see the rest of the babes and sistah's creations with the sketch.  Next week is our final Bellariffic Friday challenge for 2013!!!  We decided to make it an easy one - ANYTHING GOES - email your card to Em by Thursday to be included on Bloggabella and you could win some bella bucks

Branching out on a Sweet Sunday

Karen has another fabulous sketch for us this week (SSSC197) and for my card I inked up one of MFT's new images Trim the Branches Snowman.

The image is stamped onto bella's bestest white card stock and coloured with some copics, but mainly pencils with mineral spirits.  On the ornaments I used either a clear glaze pen or gold gelly roll pen.  I cut the image out using MFT's pierced circle die-namics then layered it on a piece of burgundy card stock cut with a nestie.  The tag behind the dp banner is cut with MFT's fishtail flags layers stax die-namics.  I shaded around the image with bundled sage and antique linen distress inks.  The snow on the ground is done with DecroArt Glistening Snow Writer The DP is Basic Greys Aspen Frost.

For the inside of the card I inked a piece of white cardstock with the antique linen and bundled sage distress inks, added some banners in the dp cut with MFT's fish tail flags layer die-namics.

If you have a chance to play along with the sketch this week remember to link your card on Karen's blog.  Please stop by the rest of the Sweet Sunday Stampers blogs to see their creations.
