SSSC 214

It's Sunday so you know that means it's time for a SSSC from Karen!

For my card I inked up Stamping Bella's Uptown Girl Sandy and her Sombrero

The image is stamped onto bella's bestest cream card stock and coloured with copics.  For her drink I made it my new "holiday" drink - a miami vice which is daiquiri mix, margarita mix and rum YUM!!
I used a clear glaze pen on her lenses and glass. For some glitter on her suit I used a pink glaze pen.
The sentiment is cut with MFT pierced circle cut die namics layered on a circle nestie.  The dp is Glitz Unchartered waters

Sweet Sunday 213

I hope everyone is having a fabulous weekend - we are still in the March in like a lion phase; more snow in the forecast BUT there is a wee bit of sunshine later in the week; come on spring!!

Karen has a fun sketch for us this week (SSSC213) - it's a skinny card (3.5x5.5)

For my card I inked up one of Stamping Bella's new images - Snookums

Isn't he cute?!  The image is stamped on bella's bestest cream card stock and coloured with copics.  The dp is EP's All About a Boy.  I added two pumpkin coloured brads to finish of the front

I used the base piece of dp on the inside and stamped the sentiment that comes with Snookums - what a fabulous sentiment!

Especially for You

It's time for a Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge from Karen - (SSSC173)

I needed a birthday card for my friends little girl who turned 3 yesterday (and I dragged hubby to her birthday party last night.  Only 4 kids in total so he survived; barely!)

I inked up Stamping Bella's sweet Millie from Millie and Milo exchanging gifts with memento tuxedo black ink and stamped it onto bella's bestest white cs.  I coloured the image with copics and paper pieced the balloon, which I glazed with glossy accents for shine. The pink cs is embossed with cuttlebug's modern wallpaper embossing folder.  The dp is basic grey's Olivia (an oldie)  Now as you can guess the card just got passed to Mom really fast, but the lego I bought her had her interest for awhile!

If you have a chance to play along with the sketch remember to link you card on Karen's blog for a chance to be a Sweet Sunday Guest Stamper.  Please stop by the rest of the Sweet Sunday Stampers blogs and this weeks guests blog to see their creations

Sweet Sunday and the CFL....

Happy Sunday!! It's the weekend before Grey Cup here in Canada so I'm looking forward to sitting on my couch watching the Eastern and then the all important Western final - Go Stamps!!

Karen has another Sweet Sunday Sketch for us, and when she first sent it out I that WHAT?!?!  I even sent a note out to the Sweet Sunday stampers expressing my feeling for this sketch BUT after letting it sit on my desk for a few days I had a lightbulb moment and all was good.  Here is the sketch that had me stumped at first:

My lightbulb moment came when I received my new stamps from Stamping Bella - I pulled a stamp and set it aside knowing it would be perfect.

The Reindeer and the Birdie is stamped with versa mark black ink onto watercolour paper and then embossed with clear embossing powder.  I coloured the image with distress markers.  The background shading is done with stormy sky distress ink.  The fluffy snowflakes are made with liquid appliqué and a heat tool.  For the bottom half of the card I embossed white cs with swiss dots.  The dp is basic greys aspen frost.  The banner is MFT's fishtail stax die-namics.  I used olive colour felt for the snowflake then a snowflake with vellum using MFT snowflake die-namics and added a rhinestone.  The sentiment is from Stamping Bella.

What's Cookin'

Happy Sunday it's time for another Sweet Sunday Sketch (SSSC155)  from Karen

So I flipped the sketch this week to work with the image I chose from Stamping Bella -What's Cookin' by Mo Manning

The image is stamped onto bella's bestest cream cs with memento tuxedo black ink and coloured with copics.  The ds paper is MME's all spice.  I did some shading with pencils blended with gamsol.  I added some glitter around the image.

You are Unique

It's time for another Sweet Sunday Sketch from Karen (SSSC152) and another Guest Designer joining us this week - this is a new this year so remember to link your card on Karen's blog to have a chance to be a Sweet Sunday Guest Designer.  Here is this weeks sketch.

Again I stayed with the sketch - this is seriously becoming a problem for me!!  As soon as I saw the sketch I knew I was going to use Stamping Bella's You are Unique stamp.

The stamp actually has 4 girls so I just picked 3 to colour up.  The image is stamped with memento tuxedo black ink onto bella's bestest paper and coloured with copics.  The dp is MME's OH LA LA for Her.  The sentiment comes with the stamp.

On top of the World

Happy Sunday - it's been a hectic week for me but I was able to work ahead this month and get my Sweet Sunday posts done.  Karen has a great sketch for us SSSC147 - so much so I didn't even flip it!!

For my card today I inked up a Stamping Bella image that I've had forever but don't think it had been inked up yet - Addy'tude is on top of the World by Tiddly Inks

As usual the image is stamped with memento tuxedo black ink onto bella's bestest paper and coloured with copics.  For her glasses I decided to make them sunglasses so I used a black glaze pen.  For the bling in her jewels I used a gelly roll pen.  I shaded around the image with pencils and gamsol then added some glitter.  The dp is MME's lime twist Fly a Kite.

Together we can do SO MUCH....

Well I managed to finish my SSSC139 card this morning, again sorry for being late.  I had planned to work on my card on Friday, although how I don't know since I was out until mid afternoon & we had company for dinner - so where I was going to find the time is beyond me!  Then yesterday the headache was too much to colour!  Today it's better so I figured get it done before it gets worse!!

For my card I used a Stamping Bella image called Friends United.  To make my image work with the sketch I made my card a square card; but I didn't flip it!!

Friends United is stamped with mementos ink onto bella's bestest cream cs and coloured with copics.  I used a black atyou spica pen randomly on the image to give it some bling and depth.  I shaded around the image with Versa Magic wheat, and on the edges I added sponged some sage shadow ink. The ds paper is MME"s Lost & Found Market Square.  Instead of banners I used the smallest spellbinders oval scallop die and added some buttons.

I decorated the inside of my card because I wanted to use the sentiment that comes with the imaged.  I love how decorated insides look, but I must admit I forget to do them!

Baby Congrats

Happy Sunday, I'm back today with this weeks Sweet Sunday Sketch (SSSC137)   Karen challenged up a little this week with a tall skinny sketch

Can you believe I totally stuck to the sketch & didn't flip it!  I needed a baby card to tuck in with  a parcel that I must send to friends in Mexico (with our postal rates I can only imagine how much that will cost!!)  So this sketch was perfect!!

I inked up Stamping Bella's baby buggy bumper and stamped it onto bella's bestest paper.  The image is coloured with copics.  On the hearts I used some crystal stickles to give some shine and added some tiny rhinestones on the centre of the wheels and on the buggy.  The ds paper is an old one - BG Two Scoops.  The finished card measures 6x3.5"

Sweet Sunday 135

Happy Sunday I hope everyone had a great week!  Today I'm back to share Karen's Sweet Sunday sketch for this week (SSSC135)

I needed to make a thank you card for my Aunt.  Last weekend I spent in Nelson visiting my parents.  The weather was so fabulous that my parents & I went to my Aunt & Uncles cabin to float on the lake.  It was so relaxing; except for my Mom when I accidentally tipped her floaty ;)  ANYWAYS my Aunt sent me home with some canning - some yummy jams!  Since my Aunt is also an amazing gardener I decided to use a flower image.

I inked up Stamping Bella's Flower Garden.  The image is stamped with mementos ink onto bella's bestest paper and coloured with pencils and mineral spirits.  In the centre of the flowers I added a little glitter.  After being so good and sticking to the sketch for a couple of weeks I had to flip it this time!

Sweet Sunday 134

Happy Sunday I hope everyone is having a great weekend!  Karen has another fabulous sketch for us (SSSC134

For my card I decided to get my nephews birthday card done (and it's not until Oct look at me being organized!!)

I inked Stamping Bella's the Birthday Boy from Tiddly Inks and stamped the image onto bella's bestest paper & coloured it with copics. I paper pieced his hands and gift & hat to give some layers on the image. The ds paper is MME's lime twist - out of the blue.  I didn't add the scallops since it was a boy card, but I did add the buttons.

Sweet Sunday 132

Happy Sunday - I hope everyone on the east coast is safe & dry!!  Karen has another fabulous sketch for us (SSSC132)

I must admit I struggled a wee bit with this one; I think it's because I didn't attempt to flip it!!

I inked up Stamping Bella's  Rustic Window Box by Mo Manning  and coloured the image with copics.  I paper pieced the flowers on the image and used a clear glaze pen on the windows.  Because I went with a funky window colour I cut the image out and paper pieced it to give the window the look that it's on a brown house.  I added some glitter to the centre of the flowers.  The ds paper is Basic Grey's hello luscious.  I added 3 die-namics rolled flowers.

Sweet Sunday Pixie

Happy Sunday - it's a long weekend here so hubby & I are golfing, biking and enjoying the nice weather!  Karen (SSSC128) has another great sketch for us this week; although I was whining when I first saw it....
angled panels are not my favourite thing!!  HOWEVER I stuck to the sketch this week; no flipping!!

I inked up one of Christy Croll's sweet Pixies from Stamping Bella - Patsy Pixie.  The image is stamped with mementos tuxedo black ink onto bella's bestest paper and coloured with copics.  I used some pencils and gamsol for the grass and added some glitter to the image.  The ds paper is MME's Lime Twist - Life of the party.  I use a die-namics flower in the corner

Sweet Sunday Wedding Wishes

It's Sunday so that means another Sweet Sunday Sketch for us!! (SSSC126)  Here is Karen's sketch for this week.

This weekend my oldest nephew got married!  It was a 2 day event & a wonderful family reunion for all of us BUT I must say it makes me feel OLD that he is married!!  I used this weeks sketch for my wedding card; however instead of a square for the image I used a rectangle BUT I didn't flip the sketch.  Really one day I will shock everyone and stick exactly to the sketch (maybe...)

I inked up Stamping Bella's Lulu's Wedding cake with mementos tuxedo black ink and coloured the image with copics.  My colour inspiration came from the wedding invitation (turquoise and gold).  I added some glitter to the centre of the flowers and for the one layer of icing I used liquid applique and added some glitter then just naturally let it dry.  For the beads on the cake I used a gold atyou spica pen.  The ds paper is MME Stella & Rose and I ran the strip through a cuttlebug embossing folder.  Added a die namics scallop, some ribbon and 3 rhinestones that I coloured to match.

Sweet Anniversary Wishes

It's Sunday so that's means Karen has another great sketch for us (SSSC125)!!

For my card today I made hubby's anniversary card; it's our anniversary tomorrow, but he's on a plane today so I tucked it into his briefcase (as usual!!)  I joke every year that maybe next year we'll be in the same place for our anniversary, but I wouldn't hold my breath!

I inked up Kissy by Mo Manning from Stamping Bella because I love how cheeky she appears - and we are not the mushy card couple!  The image is stamped with mementos ink and coloured with copics.  I used a turquoise atyou spica pen on the dots on the crown, her belt & shoes.  In the glowers I used a gel pen - didn't want to make it too glittery for hubby.  The ds paper is MME's Lime Twist; life of the party.  I actually put a sentiment on my card (comes with the stamp) and stitched around the layers.

Please stop by the rest of the Sweet Sunday Stampers blogs and I hope you can play along with us this week; remember to link you card on Karen's blog.

A long Weekend Sweet Sunday Sketch

Happy Sunday!  I hope everyone in Canada & the USA are enjoying their long weekends!  Hubby was on a plane most of our holiday (July 1) so he is taking Monday off so we have an extra long weekend for golf & biking!  Karen has another great sketch for us to play along with (SSSC124)

For my card I finally inked up this sweet Pixie image by Tiddly Inks from Stamping Bella - Posie Pixie.  The image is stamped with mementos ink onto bella's bestest paper and coloured with copics.  I paper pieced the pixie onto the image & paper pieced her dress.  I added some glitter to the centres of some of the flowers; others I used an orange atyou spica pen.  The DS paper is MME's Stella & Rose - Mabel.  I added some rhinestones and a sculpture flower instead of the sentiment panel (why oh why do I have such an adverse reaction to sentiment panels)  That being said I didn't flip this sketch!!
