Bellariffic Birthday Wishes

Happy Friday - this week the bellariffic Friday challenge was to make a birthday card, which was perfect because I always seem to be behind on getting them made & sent!

I used this weeks Mojo Monday sketch (MOJO123) as my inspiration and inked up one of my new bella's - "all boxed up a bella". The image is stamped on bella's bestest cream paper and coloured with copics. The DS paper is from October afternoons Cherry hill collection called Cookie Jar (the stripes) and Recipe box. I added some kiwi ribbon and for the prima flower I sprayed a white flower with pumpkin Tattered Angels Glimmer mist. I love the look of the glimmer mist, but was worried about a mess so I kept a boot box with a flip top lid (sturdy sorels what every Canadian gal needs!) and spray in the box lined with paper towel. Once you have sprayed the flower press it into the paper towel to soak up any extra then just put the box away; no clean up required!! I added a bella bonbon to the flower and the buttons are from my collection.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY WENDY!!!

I am so excited it's my wonderful friend Wendy's birthday today & we are throwing her a little birthday blog hop!!

For my card I inked up my new MFT's Who's That Girl "wrapped in love" and I used last week SCS sketch (SC264). The image is stamped with mementos ink on bella's bestest paper and coloured with copics, I paper pieced the parcel and her dress. The ds paper is Basic Greys boxer and Junebug. I added some clear stickles to the bow which is paper pieced orange prisma cs and sewed around the ds paper

Trying to get a jump start

I want to try and get a jump start on my Holiday cards this year; so I am not in a panic come December! Ideally I would like to make a card a week, but realistic I don't know if I will be successful SO I decided every time I make a card I will make 2 - really you're cutting and colouring for one so why not 2?!

This week I used The Sweet Stop Sketch (SSS40) and Stamping Bella's candy jar with holly. The image is stamped on bella's bestest paper with mementos ink and coloured with copics, I used Xmas red stickles on the holly and covered the entire jar with crystal effects so it's shiny.

The ds paper is from basic grey's eskimo kisses line, and I embossed the green cs with Spellbinders Impressabilities (snowflakes). I added 2 snowflakes from my Martha Stewart snowflake punch and added 2 bella bonbons

Been Gone, Gone, Gone...

Gone so long I don't know if I will ever find my mojo again! I don't know what's happened since December but I am struggling to find my mojo - even with new stamps from Stamping Bella, and great sketches I am struggling!

I finally made this card using one of my new stamps from Stamping Bella's December release and Mercy's sketch from this week (MTSC57) Meredith the Tea Cup Girl is from Stamping Bella's Green Bean Baby line, I love these kids!

The image is stamped with mementos ink onto Bella's bestest paper & coloured with copics. I used a black glaze pen on her headband and a pitch black atyou spica pen on the butterflies borders. Both butterflies are popped up and I paper pierced around the ds paper (from my scraps!!) This is my latest Martha Stewart border punch

Get Twinched

Todays Bellariffic Fridays Challenge was to "get twinched" Twinchies are 2x2 squares of super thick card stock so they instantly add dimension to your card!

I chose Fluey Huggabugg because I needed a get well card & the image fit perfectly in the twinchie! The image is stamped with mementos ink and coloured with copics. I used a yellow atyou spica pen on the antenna's and a red atyou spica pen for the thermometer. The DS paper is basic greys June Bug and I used fiskars apron lace punch for my border

Revisiting...

Last week Joanne B had a fantastic water colouring tutorial on her blog; when I saw it I tried to remember the last time I water coloured an image - I couldn't remember! Since finding copics they seem to be all I reach for; even my pencils are being ignored so I decided I would find my watercolour pens and get my reinkers out!

I used this weeks Crazy 4 Challenges sketch (C4C20) and chose MFT Pure Innocence - My Balloon and stamped the image with black stazon on Fabriano hot pressed paper and water coloured with reinkers. I had to remind myself to let a colour dry before trying to shade, but I really enjoyed water colouring again. The DS paper is from cosmo cricket and I used my Martha Stewart Scallop Dot border punch. I used a clear glaze pen on her shoes & heart and an atyou red pen on the buckle on her shoe.

Feeling Lovey Dovey

It's release day over at Stamping Bella so this weeks Bellariffic Fridays theme is lovey dovey & all us babes have a sneak peek for you!!

The stamp I am showing is called ROMANTIC cage and I love that it's a set you can use year round - valentines, wedding cards, anniversary cards anything for a couple!

Cageybirds is on bella's bestest paper and coloured with copics, I added some orange stickles on the dots on the cage and crystal stickles on the heart. I started out using this weeks sketch challenge on SCS (SCS263) but I ended up doing a fair bit of tweaking to it! The DS paper is basic greys new Sugar Rush and I added some sewing, ribbon and frosted pink bella bonbons

Next weeks Bellariffic Fridays theme is "Get Twinched" if you don't have twinchies you can still play along; just use 2x2 squares on your card & email a picture to Em before midnight Thursday January 21!

Lollipop lollipop, oh lolli lolli lolli, Lollipop Lollipop...

Seriously this melody goes through my head every time I look at the sweet Lollipop images from Stamping Bella!!

Presley Lollipop is stamped with mementos ink onto bella's bestest paper and coloured with copics, for her fuzzy slippers I added some pink doodlebug velvet flock. The DS paper is from my stash of basic grey paper called Eva - I wanted a soft girlie card. I actually didn't use a sketch for this card (maybe that's why it took so long for me to finish it?! That & when I looked for the ribbon I started re-organizing my ribbon drawer!!) BUT this does work with the JUGS15 technique challenge this week - stitching!!

They're Back!!

Bellariffic Fridays are back!! In honour of all the kids going back to school from the holiday break this weeks Bellariffic Friday theme was "kid's going back to school" Now being a non parent this doesn't affect me except I have to remember to avoid coming home when the school bus drops off!

At first I thought of using Javabella or Cosmobella because I am sure there are a lot of Mom's who would like either BUT I went with one of the Green Bean Babies. I used Mercy's Sketch from this week (MTSC55) and inked up Betty the Bookworm, stamped the image on bella's bestest paper and coloured her with copics. I paper pieced her hair band and used my pitch black atyou spica pen on the polka dots. I used my lavender atyou spica pen for her glasses and a clear glaze pen for the lenses. On the heart on her t-shirt I used a red atyou spica pen and for her shoes I used a black glaze pen.

The DS paper is from Fancy Pants Dancing Girl line and I used my Apron Lace border punch and sewed all the layers on with pink thread.

Feeling APTEE

I am so excited - Bellariffic Fridays are back this week!! This weeks challenge is "back to school" for all you mom's out there I am sure there is some relief when the kids go back to school & no one is complaining that they're bored!! So ink up a bella stamp that reflects how you are feeling and email it to Em by midnight Thursday, remember if you participate you could win bella bucks!!

For my card today I went with a Valentines theme and inked up APTEE 'tude who has been neglected! The image is stamped on bella's bestest paper and coloured with copics. I paper pieced the hearts and added some crystal stickles to make them stand out. On the scissors I used my silver atyou spica pen.

The layout is this weeks JUGS14 sketch challenge, and the ds paper is Basic Grey's bittersweet from last year; can you believe I haven't bought any Valentines paper this year?! I sewed the layers on then added a ghost heart, which I layered on a piece of pink ds paper then added some clear stickles to make it stand out.

I'm Late....

Well here it is already January 2nd & I am now just starting my desk calendar; I will soon be getting the call from my mom that she doesn't know what day it is because she doesn't have a calender! Really I have just started it; so I will show you January but I won't have the details on how I put it together until February!!

The calender from Taylored Expressions, and it's a download so you can alter it to the size that works for your project. The calender itself is 4 3/4 x 4 3/4 and the base is 5x5. For this month I used Stamping Bella's Hat & MITTS because we definitely need them here in January!! The image is stamped on bella's bestest paper and coloured with copics, I added some green stickes on the hat & mitts. I then cut the image out and layered it on a piece of garden green cs cut with a rectangle nesties. The patterned paper is from Basic Grey's Eskimo kisses.

I hope you are all having a wonderful start to the New Year - ours has been quiet since I've had a cold/sinus infection since Christmas; just when I think I'm fine it starts up again but I am determined to get back on track this coming week!
