Funny we actually have a birthday boy in our family today - my nephew (who is in law school!!) I really must get a card in the mail for him!!
This weeks bellariffic Fridays theme was paper piercing or sewing, I went with paper piercing. I used Mercy's sketch from this week (MTSC92) for my card & inked up one of my long neglected tiddly ink designs - the Birthday Boy from Stamping Bella. The image is stamped with mementos ink onto bella's bestest paper and coloured with copics. I used a clear glaze pen on some of the ribbon and his party hat. I also paper pieced the party hat and the present he is holding. The ds paper is from Imaginisce called b-day bash (how fitting!!) Instead of a scallop I added a chain border which I punched with EK successes chain link punch.
Did you see that Em had a surprise release this week?! Yep no more big releases just when she has the new rubbah in she will release it so you'll have to keep an eye on her blog! Next week Bellariffic Fridays theme is very scary - HALLOWEEN!!! Email Em your cards by Thursday to be included and you may win bella bucks; which will come in handy when there are surprise releases!!
Don't forget to stop by Bloggabella to see the rest of the babes & sistah's creations & thanks for stopping by
Have a great day - it's actually warm here so hubby is leaving work early so we can golf & go out for dinner WOHOO!!

The Final Week....
of the hunt for a new babe!! Can you believe it's already the end of August?! I'm hoping you have a late fall since we've had no summer!
This weeks challenge was free form - so I decided to ink up one of the new sweet Little Peeps. Little Peeps Birthday Cake is stamped with mementos ink onto bella's bestest paper and coloured with copics. I paper pieced the flowers on the cake and her dress. Along the icing (which I added an extra layer!) I added some glamour dust glitter. The centre of the flowers have tiny rhinestones which I coloured with a copic marker. The ds paper is October Afternoons Fly a Kite. The layout of my card is Mercy's sketch from this week (MTSC88), although I didn't add a flower in the corner.
Make sure you pop by Bloggabella to see the rest of the babes cards & the final week of the sistah's entries - they have been FANTASTIC!! Next weeks Bellariffic Fridays theme is animals - either image, paper or embellishments. Email Em your card by Thursday to be included next week. Also take a peek at this weeks Tantalizing TOOOsday specials!

Summer wishes
We finally had some nice weather, but now we've had thunderstorms and now it's cool again so I might have to head to Jeanie's to put on my swimsuit!!
Since I can't wear a swimsuit because of our weather (really that's the only reason!!)I decided to ink up Kraftin' Kimmies Stamps Eleanor which I bought from Scrappin Great Deals. The image is stamped on bella's bestest paper and coloured with copics. I paper pieced the flowers on the cap & added some tiny red rhinestones. I used a clear glaze pen on the cap to make it look more like a swim cap. On the stripes on her swim suit I used a lemon atyou spica pen
I used Mercy's sketch from this week (MTSC79). The ds paper is from October afternoons Thift shop line stitched on kraft paper; which means I played along with Jeanie's That's Krafty Thursdays (TKT31)!!
Thanks for stopping by & have a fantastic day!!

Twinkle Toes
I hope you are all having a great week; I must stay it seems strange not to have Bellariffic Fridays tomorrow; I am a little lost!
Today I played along with Mercy's sketch from this week (MTSC77). I went through my bindah's to find the perfect image & stopped on Twinkle Toes Huggabugg - she was perfect!
The image is stamped on bella's bestest paper & coloured with copics. For her antenna's I added some tiny green rhinestones & a little bit of glamour dust glimmer on her wings.
The ds paper is from basic greys kioshi line, the cs is su's celery, pale plum and perfect plum. Because I wasn't using embellishments on the card I sewed around the edges
Don't forget you have until the week of June 2 to play along with the next Bellariffic Friday's challenge which is this fantastic sketch by Jodibella! Email your cards to Em but Thursday June 24 to be included & remember you can with Bella Bucks!!
Thanks so much for stopping by & have a great day

Hair Raising
I'm a fan of Mo Mannings designs & I am excited that some are now available in rubbah from Stamping Bella!

I love this image of Angelina; I so remember rubbing our hair to get the static; and now I use

all sorts of products to prevent static from happening!!
Angelina is stamped with mementos ink onto bella's bestest paper and coloured with copics. I used a lemon atyou spic pen on the polka dots on her dress; and fushia on her bloomers (my mom always had me in outfits like this when I was little!!) I paper pieced her dress so it sits onto of the bloomers and I also paper pieced the balloons. I used Mercy's sketch from this week (MTSC71)
The DS paper is from WeR Memory Keepers Hippity Hoppity line, layed on regal rose & I aded some regal rose ribbon.
Thanks so much for stopping by, I hope you have a fantastic day - here it was raining, now it's snowing & we are suppose to have a huge winter storm; I think mother nature forgot that it's the end of April!

Tee-riffic Thanks
I have been golfing on & off for several years, and after 12 years of using the same irons hubby arranged for me to get custom made clubs (something all women over 5'9" should do!) I was lucky that he is friends with the people at the company because they rushed my clubs so I could take them to Scottsdale last week - and they must work because I had the best round of my life there!

I wanted to thank hubby's contact & his assistant (you know it's because of her that I got them in time!) So I inked up Teeoffabella and used Mercy's sketch from last week (MTSC70) Tee-a-bella is stamped with mementos ink onto bella's bestest paper & coloured with copics. I used a pink atyou spica pen on the socks & a silver one on the club. For the golf ball I used a white glaze pen

The ds paper is My Minds Eye Quite contrary line layered on some prisma paper & melon mambo. I added some ribbon but didn't add the bow.
This weeks Bellariffics Friday theme is Ink What You Haven't Used; if you are like me there are several (and not just the ones that were at my front door today!!) Email your cards to Em by Thursday to be included on Friday; and remember you can win Bella Bucks!
We had a great time in Scottsdale, went to 2 Coyotes hockey games which were a lot of fun, and I am hoping they win tomorrow & we played 6 rounds of golf. The only sad part was a cold front came in while we were there! One day it was like golfing at home with 40km winds!!
Thanks so much for stopping by

Polar Bear Christmas

I wanted to try and get a Christmas card made this week & when I saw Mercy's sketch this week (MTSC68) I was inspired to ink up Polar Bear Circle from Stamping Bella.
The image is stamped with mementos ink onto bella's bestest paper and coloured with copics. I used a silver zig pen (oh do those smell!!) on the stripes on the scarf. For the snow I added some glamour dust glitter and on the present I used some sweet basil microfine glitter.

The ds paper is from SEI Christmas mint collection. The ds paper is layered on wild wasabi cs, which is layered on chocolate chip cs. I ran a piece of riding hood red cs through my swiss dots cuttlebug folder and mounted the image on that. The polar bear was cut out with a mega circle punch then layered on a piece of chocolate chip cs that I cut with a circle nesties
I hope you had time to play along with this weeks Bellariffic Fridays challenge - remember Em needs your cards emailed to her Thursday.

Friendship
I wanted to play along with Mercy's sketch this week (MTSC66), and decided to do something a little different for me and used a definition block as my focal point.

I love all the definition blocks from Stamping Bella, and decided to ink up "friendship" for my card. The image is stamped with mementos ink onto bella's bestest cream paper & cut with a nesties. I then trimmed the image along the embossing lines and mounted it on a piece of garden green cs that was cut with the original nestie to keep the size down. The ds paper is My Minds Eye's Quite Contrary Mary-Mary line and it's mounted on garden green, then on pretty in pink. I added some pink gingham ribbon and a bow.

The flowers are primas, the pink is a white flower that is sprayed with tattered angels glitter mist bubblegum and I added some bella dots glitter in platinum.
Thanks for stopping by - have you emailed Em your bellariffic card yet? She needs them today! See you tomorrow for Bellariffic Friday!

Monochromatic Bellariffic
Happy Friday! Today's Bellariffic Friday's challenge was Monochromatic -yikes!! This one was outside the box for me; I like lots of colour BUT it was a lot of fun & I really liked the outcome.

I used Mercy's sketch from this week (MTSC65). I inked up Peony Bittyblooms with mementos ink and stamped the image on bella's bestest paper & coloured the image with copics. I used a lavender atyou spica pen on the belt of the dress & added some purple velvet flocking to the centre of the flower. Just a dusting of glamour dust glitter on her dress
The ds paper is basic greys new line Kioshi, I love the soft colours in this line. I paper pierced around the layers and the image is layered on perfect plum which was cut with a nesties
Make sure you pop by Bloggabella to see all the other Monochromatic creations &

leave a comment to win some bellabucks! Next weeks Bellariffic Friday is a sketch challenge; isn't it fabulous?! Make sure you email a jpeg of your card to Em by Thursday to be part of the round up & to win some Bellabucks!

Who Wants to Snuggle?!
Yesterday my new stamps arrived from The Greeting Farm & I had to ink one up right away - I love the Hope & Grace series of stamps!

Dana

For my inspiration I used Mercy's sketch from this week (MTSC63) and inked up HG Snuggle. The image is stamped with mementos ink and coloured with copics. I added some red stickles to her bow and the dots on her dress. I out lined the hearts on her dress with a black atyou spica pen.
The DS paper is from Pink Paislee cupid collection, as is the brad. The
CS is all SU's chocolate chip, certainly celery & blush blossom (a colour I hardly ever used while demonstrating & now I am loving it!!)

Ruby & Rose
I'd hoped to get this card made last night, but then the Canada - Germany hockey game started & my focus was gone! I hope they have as much success today against Russia; that's going to be an amazing game!!
For my card today I used Mercy's sketch from this week (MTSC62) with Ruby & Rose LULU from Stamping Bella. I love these LULU's and am patiently waiting for more! The image is stamped on bella's bestest paper & coloured with c
opics. I added some red stickles to the center of the flowers & used a lemon, red and pitch black atyou spica pen on their dresses. I paper pierced around the ds paper which is basic greys June Bug collection.

Tomorrow he goes to both women's hockey metal games, Friday to both men's hockey semi finals, Saturday to the men's bronze metal game & speed skating, Sunday to the men's gold metal hockey game & the closing ceremonies - Yes I am bitter!!

Rain, Rain
Well it appears they don't have to worry about the rain anymore at the Vancouver Olympics; just record breaking warm temps - how crazy is that?!

For my inspiration I used Mercy's sketch from this week (MTSC61)
I just bought this s
weet digi image from The Greeting Farm and had to colour her up. I printed the WS Rain, Rain digi on neenah paper and coloured it with copics. I wanted a plastic rain jacket & hat look so I then coloured her coat, hat & boots with a clear glaze pen. I added some orange rhinestones for the buttons; they weren't the exact orange as the coat so I coloured them with a copic marker. The DS paper is from My Minds Eye's Oh La La collection.

Skater Dude..
I picked this image of Ethan Lollipop tonight, but really I should have looked for a skier since Canada won it's first gold on home soil tonight! I was so excited, and hubby was on a plane so I phoned my BFF who now lives in the States & hadn't seen it yet. We then stayed on the phone & watched the US coverage together (yes we are a little crazy) but it was SO EXCITING!!
For my card I used Mercy's sketch (MTSC60) and made a n
arrow card (51/2 x 31/2) Ethan Lollipop is stamped with mementos ink on bella's bestest paper and coloured with copics; I use my melon atyou spica pen on his laces. The ds paper is from Fancy Pants Rough & Tough collection. I used 3 ghost stars and covered them with icicles stickes & paper pierced around the layered pieces.
This weeks Bellariffic Fridays is a colour challenge; make sure you email Em your cards by midnight Thursday
Thanks for stopping by - I hope to get a lot of stamping done this week, but I find myself parked in front of the big screen (instead of the little on in my stamp room) watching the Olympics; I believe it will be a very unproductive 2 weeks for me!!

Been Gone, Gone, Gone...
Gone so long I don't know if I will ever find my mojo again! I don't know what's happened since December but I am struggling to find my mojo - even with new stamps from Stamping Bella, and great sketches I am struggling!
Dana
I finally made
this card using one of my new stamps from Stamping Bella's December release and Mercy's sketch from this week (MTSC57)
Meredith the Tea Cup Girl is from Stamping Bella's Green Bean Baby line, I love these kids!

They're Back!!
Bellariffic Fridays are back!! In honour of all the kids going back to school from the holiday break this weeks Bellariffic Friday theme was "kid's going back to school" Now being a non parent this doesn't affect me except I have to remember to avoid coming home when the school bus drops off!
The DS paper is from Fancy Pants Dancing Girl line and I used my Apron Lace border punch and sewed all the layers on with pink thread.
At first I thought of using J
avabella or Cosmobella because I am sure there are a lot of
Mom's who would like either BUT I went with one of the Green Bean Babies. I used Mercy's Sketch from this week (MTSC55) and inked up Betty the Bookworm, stamped the image on bella's bestest paper and coloured her with copics. I paper pieced her hair band and used my pitch black atyou spica pen on the polka dots. I used my lavender atyou spica pen for her glasses and a clear glaze pen for the lenses. On the heart on her t-shirt I used a red atyou spica pen and for her shoes I used a black glaze pen.

HAPPY NEW YEARS!
For many of you it is already 2010! We still have several hours to go, and in a little while I plan to be like Winobella!!
I used Mercy's sketch from this week (MTSC54) and stamped Winobella on bella's bestest white paper and coloured the image with copics, originally I coloured her dress but then I decided to paper piece it. I used my clear glaze pen on the bottle and the glasses and used a clear atyou spica pen on her hairband. The DS paper is from Crate Papers Bliss line & I added a strip of Rich Razzleberry ribbon. The cs is pale plum, wild wasabi & rich razzleberry. The punch is Martha Stewart's scalloped dot border punch.
Funny thing is I was working on this card when I was talking to Karen today, we haven't connected over the holidays so today was our first chat - she used Winobella too for her New Years card & Mercy's Sketch - see we really are BFF's!!
I hope you all have a safe & wonderful New Years - I am happy to say we are staying in (it's REALLY cold here again) and we are on our own (PHEW!!) so I am going enjoy my wine while watching the hockey games & hubby is making me dinner - what a perfect new years!
Happy 2010

Back to Reality...
This was me last week (really I look EXACTLY like beachabella in my swimsuit (wink, wink) We spent last week laying around the pool and walking along the beach in Cuba and having several beverages at the amazing swim up bar, it was fruit punch with rum so very healthy; lots of vitamins!! It was super relaxing but now we are home back to the snow & cold - I want to go back!!
I used Mercy's sketch challenge from last week (MTSC52) although my image was a little smaller then the sketch (oops!) Beachabella is stamped with memento's ink onto bella's bestest paper and coloured with copics, I added some shimmer to her bikini with an atyou spica pen and used my black glaze pen on her
sunglasses. The DS paper is from Basic Greys Indian Summer collection and I added a prima flower with a bella bonbon.
Now I'm trying to get ready for Christmas, but I am very behind - tomorrow will be a very busy day!!
Thanks for stopping by

More Christmas Wishes...
I am happy to say all my Christmas cards are in the mail; I think they may even get to their destinations on time! This is the last set of "mass production" cards I made.

I used Mercy's sketch from last week (MTSC51) as my inspiration, and inked up my long neglected Elzybell's stamp Mark & Ela. The image is stamped with mementos ink and coloured with copics. For the falling snow I used glue and micro fine glitter, for the snow on the ground I used liquid applique and micro fine glitter, which I heated a little.

I embossed the baja breeze paper with quickutz snowflakes and sewed around the patterend paper.
I sent these cards to my parent's and
brothers. When I was in about grade 1 (really not that lo
ng ago...) my dad, brothers & I went tobogganing outside of town. You parked on the side of the road & walked in and then walked back out. I was in front of my dad on the sled; but didn't know I was suppose to drive so we wound up in a tree; my foot was all wrapped up in the branches. Naturally I cried & cried & my brothers told me to quit being a wimp and then my poor dad had to pull me out on the sled. Fractured my foot; but the funniest part is the next year when we went out the poor little tree was growing crooked!!
ng ago...) my dad, brothers & I went tobogganing outside of town. Fractured my foot; but the funniest part is the next year when we went out the poor little tree was growing crooked!!So the moral of the story is if you are on the front of the sled keep your eyes open because you're the driver!!!
