As I write this post the rain is now turning into snow, and it's thundering out - how strange & how fitting that I inked up Stamping Bella's Lulu's Snowman
I played along with Jen's Deconstructed sketch from Thursday (73) It's been a long time since I've played along, and I only slightly tweaked the sketch; I made my card square to work with the larger image.
Lulu's Snowman is stamped on bella's bestest white cs and coloured with copics. The shading on the image is done with pencils and gamsol. The snowflakes are done with enamel essentials, the fur on the hats are done with liquid appliqué and glitter. Here's a tip I learnt - don't put the enamel on before the liquid appliqué. When I heated the liquid appliqué the enamel kind of popped so I had to re-due the enamel dots. The shading around the image is done with Tim Holtz distress ink in evergreen bough.
The ds paper is an old one in my stash of 6x6 pads - Crate Papers Snow Day. For the background banner I used MFT's Fishtail flags Stax and I finished off the card with some pearls. I carried the fishtail flag stax onto the inside.
