Penguideer.....

I had wanted to take the month of Sept off because hubby & I had a trip at the beginning of the month so I thought a break would be perfect.  Then Em sent the email out with those magic words - RELEASE.  Like fine wine there is nothing like a fine release so I said PLEASE send me an image and here he is....

Penguideer.....

The image is on bella's bestest white cs and coloured with copics and pencils with gamsol.  For the snow under his feet I cut the image along the bottom and layered a piece of white cs which was embossed with swiss dots.  In the snowflakes I used crystal stickles.  The ds paper is Yuletide. I am just squeezing Jen's SKFYTT for September in.

Monday is release day at Stamping Bella!  Oh I am so excited about this release and all the new Christmas images!!  Make sure you stop by both Bloggabella and Stamping Bella to see the entire release on Monday

thanks so much for stopping by - see you during the week since I'm back to stamping!!

Sassy Sweet Sunday

Wow I really am taking a break this month!  I did manage to get some time to play along with Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch for this week (SSSC168)

I decided to make my nieces birthday card (it's next month I'm actually ahead of the game) and in order to make MFT's PI girl Cute-a-tude work I flipped the sketch

The image is stamped with memento tuxedo black ink onto bella's bestest cream cs and coloured with copics.  Her dress is  paper pieced using MME's A Happy Heart.  The shading around the image is done with Scattered Straw distress ink.  I added a swiss dots to the base layer and on the right corner added a sentiment.  I chose this sentiment because my niece has always been one to give as good as she gets which is very good with the aunts & uncles she has!  For the inside I used a sentiment from MFT's Birthday Princess.

Please stop by the rest of the Sweet Sunday Stampers blogs, and this weeks Guest Stampers blog. If you play along with the sketch remember to link it on Karen's blog for a chance to be a Sweet Sunday Guest Stamper

Thanks for stopping by & have a great day

An Apple A Day....

I've been taking a bit of a break for September but I wanted to play along with Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch (SSSC167)

Since it's apple season I decided to ink up an image from Stamping Bella's Lulu's Set of Fruit.

The image is stamped with versafine black ink onto watercolour paper.  I then coloured the apples and flower with distress markers.  For the basket I stamped the image onto a piece of ds paper from MME's Dolled up then paper pieced it.  I used the same ds on the rest of the card.  I shaded around the image with tumbled glass distress ink.  In the centre of the flower I added a tiny rhinestone.  The border is MFT's small scallop border die-namic and the banner is MFT's die-namics Fishtail flags Stax.

Please stop by the rest of the Sweet Sunday Stampers blogs to see their creations and remember to link your card on Karen's blog if you play along with us for a chance to be a Sweet Sunday Guest Stamper.

Thanks for stopping by & have a great day
