Chichiboulie blog hop!!

Welcome to the Chichiboulie Blog Hop sponsored by Stamping Bella! If you've just happened upon my blog, click here to hop over to Bloggabella, if you came her from Melinda's blog you are on the right path!

For my Chichiboulie (say that 10 times fast!) I chose Francine Flapper, who has been long neglected in my bindah! I inked her up with mementos ink, stamped her on bella's bestest paper and coloured her with copics. I paper pieced her dress because I love the effect of paper piecing and it's the 6x6 version of the basic grey ds paper (lemonade) that I used on the card. The sketch is this weeks card sketch on SCS (SC252) I added some ribbon and needed some sparkle, but it needed to be small so I found some pink rhinestones from heidi swapp in my stash.

Somewhere along the blog there is a hidden prize of a $25 Gift Voucher to Stamping Bella!!! So as you make the hop make sure you leave a comment along the way!! If there is a break in the chain here's the link with the master list.

Don't forget Stamping Bella had an AMAZING release yesterday so make sure you stop by and take a look, Em has some great gift with purchase promos going on!

Thanks for stopping by, now you get to hop over to Melody's blog and see her amazing creation!

Didn't you LOVE being a Kid?!

This weeks Bellariffic Friday challenge was anything Kids - now I'm not sure if it's the snow we've received or the kids next door making a snowman that made me think about what I loved as a kid - playing in the snow!! My mom sent us out daily to play and we had a huge yard where we could make snow forts (no roofs!) and have snowball fights SO this week I used Stamping Bella's Snowfight

I used Mercy's sketch from this week (MTSC45) for my layout, if you haven't tried her sketches they are fantastic & Mercy has a new one every Tuesday. Snowfight is stamped on bella's bestest paper and coloured with copics. For the snowman and snowballs I used glamour dust glitter and on his eyes I used my black glaze pen HOWEVER make sure you have all the glue & glitter moved out of the way because it bled a little. The ds paper is My Minds Eye's Colorful Christmas, and I used my ek success snowflake border punch along the edge.

Thanks for stopping by - have a great Friday & don't forget to stop by Bloggabella to see all the amazing cards BUT more importantly IT'S RELEASE DAY at Stamping Bella!! I am crazy about the new Lollipop line & the new Lulu, and am excited to see our newest Bella!

Sweet Sunday Trick or Treat

Wohoo I managed to get one more Halloween card made! I wanted to ink up all my new Halloween stamps (I did) and use my Halloween Key Ingredients from Taylored Expressions again!

I used Karen's G. Sweet Sunday sketch (SSSC41) from this week & flipped it on it's side to work with Trick or Treat with Who's That Girl (don't you just love the Flopsey costume?!) The image is stamped with mementos ink and coloured with copics. I used my black glaze pen for her shoes and orange stickles for the candy. The DS paper in the kit is Basic Grey's Eerie. I paper pieced her dress and paper pierced around the ds paper.

Really who dresses like that when handing out Halloween candy?! Here we are sometimes bundled to answer the door, but this year it's suppose to be warm(ish) so chances are I will be in jeans & a t-shirt & hoodie (OK maybe my Lulu's) BUT the kids will get way more then one piece of candy here! Being non-parents hubby & I love giving handfuls of candy out; we love getting kids hoped up on candy :)

Happy Halloween & thanks for stopping by

Home design Copics storage

We spent this past weekend in Edmonton helping my mother in law clean out some storage areas etc, it was a lot of work & one would think I would be tired of "organizing" but really that's all I've been doing since being home! I cleaned out our home office, when we moved we had space so stuff didn't get sorted & tossed; huge mistake!
I then moved onto my stamp room - I have a huge space but my storage containers don't meet all my needs so I pulled out a filing cabinet/drawer system to get some stuff off my desk. I've discovered I don't work well in disorganized spaces (my Mom will laugh at this because my bedroom was always "disorganized")!

I made these Kaisercraft storage containers earlier this year and had a light bulb moment yesterday -I used chipboard coaster (I have tons!) and made storage boxes. They are glued with pumpkin paper supports along the bottom & sides; the 4 large ones (4x4) have dividers inside and the 2 smaller ones are 2X3; I have a guillotine cutter so it was super easy to cut the chipboard. The chipboard is painted with the same heidi swap paint I used on the containers.

They are actually quite sturdy because of the case around them & I was excited to find something that keeps my desk clean and my copics close, I have tried many different version of containers but don't want to spend big $$ because it can be spent on the actual makers & here in Canada we don't have the same great shopping/shipping as all of you in the States!!

Don't forget Bellariffic Fridays is all things KIDS so make sure you email your card to Em by midnight Thursday AND it's the big release on Friday (I am in love with the new Lulu & Lollipops!)

Thanks for stopping by - I am excited to get in there & stamp today; but I do have coupon for my LSS today so I might have to go out...

Happy Birthday Joanne B!!!

Last year when my BFF moved to the states Em introduced her to Joanne B & when I went down last fall I met her - it was a HUGE thrill because I had been stalking Joanne's blog for a long time. This year when I went down we went on a road trip to Stamp Vermont & had a blast - when we were there Joanne showed me how to make her bows - you can see how because she made an awesome video!

I knew I had to use a Turtle Tot for her card because she LOVES these little guys (as do I), the layout is from TESC85. Turtle tot - birthday wishes is stamped with mementos ink onto cream cs and coloured with copics, I used my clear gel pen on the cake, and for the frosting I used brown liquid applique. For the candles I used my yellow atyou spica pen.

The cb is ivory, layered with Pomegranate cs, the ds paper is from Fancy Pants Delights; bubbles and I paper pierced around the edges (naturally!) I added some soft sky paper and layered the image on pomegranate cut with nesties. The sentiment is from Stamping bella, I masked the sentiment to stamp it into the circle. I added some ribbon with a bow (for Joanne) and a button - yes Wendy a button!!

Joanne, it's in the mail (or at least in my bag on it's way to the mail but it is stamped) BUT I was being so efficient and getting it sent to you that I sealed the envelope (stamp on already) before I took a picture, that's why it's taped - it's not some big check at the border!!

Don't forget Stamping Bella has a big release on Friday (I am so excited!!) and she will be posting this weeks challenge so make sure you check out Bloggabella

Thanks for stopping by - Happy Birthday Joanne have a great day

Flowery Bellariffic

Happy Friday!! This weeks Bellariffic Fridays challenge was to use nature or flower stamps from Stamping Bella, I decided to ink up one of my flower sets that hasn't been used (you believe there was just this on right?!)

I used the sketch from Crazy 4 Challenges (C4C7) as my starting point (I love sketches, they make me work outside my normal box!) Pocket full of Posies is stamped with mementos ink onto bella's bestest paper and coloured with copics. I double stamped the image so I could colour and pop a few of the flowers. I also stamped the image onto yellow cs and paper pieced then popped the ribbon. I added some star dust stickles to the center of the flowers. The DS paper is from cosmo cricket. I added some poppy bella glitter dots.

Don't forget to sign up for the Chichiboulie Fairies blog hop on October 31; click here for all the details and make sure you stop by Bloggabella to see all the other amazing bellariffic friday cards!
Have a great weekend!!

'TUDE kinda Halloween...

I wanted to make sure I used my new Halloween stamps this year, it's funny I've never been one for all things Halloween, but I have loved making cards this year!

I used Mercy's sketch from this week (MTSC44) for my inspiration! Bewitcheda 'TUDE is stamped with mementos ink onto Bella's Bestest Paper and coloured with copicc, I paper pieced her hat on so it would be over all the nesties ovals. The DS paper is Basic Greys Eerie, and the cs is prisma paper. I added some silver smooch to the buckle of her hat and of course I had to paper pierce! I added some brads in the corners (I will start using buttons soon Wendy I promise!)

Remember it's Bellariffic Friday tomorrow, and if you are in the GTA and are attending the Women's Show make sure you pop by to see Emily & Ryan!

Thanks for stopping by

Words of Wisdom..

When I saw The Places You'll Go from Taylored Expressions I loved the images and the sentiments; something I don't own enough of!

For this weeks TESC87 I chose to ink up one of the sentiments and to make a "quick card" so I grabbed my September Key Ingredients kit; which are fantastic and if you haven't tried them yet check out Octobers collection here.

The image is stamped with memento's ink onto Taylor's buttercream cs (which came in the kit) and I coloured the heart with copics (R00, R02, YR02), I then added some stardust stickles to give it some dimension and shine. The cs from the kit is prism and the ds paper is from Bo Bunny's Kitchen Sink collection which I paper pierced (shocking I know). I added extra layers and used my Martha Stewart flower punch & added some Taylors tiny twinkles to the center of the flowers

Thanks for stopping by & have yourself a great day - I'm off to pop this into the mail for my cousin who just called me with exciting news that she found a job as an Medic, which is something she has always wanted to do - so she is listening to her heart!
