Sweet Sunday Dreams

Happy Easter - I hope all who celebrate have a wonderful day.  Karen has another fabulous sketch for us this week (SSSC156).  You have 2 weeks to play along with us, and a chance to be invited to be a guest designer

OK this sketch was challenging for me - Lynn inspired this sketch & it looks lovely but really what was she thinking?!  After much pondering (also known as procrastination) I had a light bulb moment and inked up MFT's vertical greetings. 

I stamped the sentiment on cream cs then mounted it on the vertical greetings die-namic.  For the vertical pieces I again had a to think how I was going to make the banners.  For these I used MFT die-namics first place ribbon.  I pieced the strips under the ribbon scallop piece to make it long enough.   The DP is lily beedesgins Happily Lost

Butterfly Wishes

Happy Good Friday to all who celebrate!  Today's Bellariffic Fridays theme was a sketch from our wonderful Eburabella and we have a new Babe in da house!!  Please welcome Natasha to the babe team AND to the blogging world!!

My card was inspired by the dp I chose - MME's Miss Caroline All Dolled UP.  As soon as I a saw the butterflies I knew which image I was going to ink up this week.

Miss Gertie LuLu is stamped with memento tuxedo black ink onto bella's bestest white cs and coloured with copics.  Along the fringe of her skirt I added some shine with a gelly roll pen.  I added a flower die cut out of the cs and the dp paper and added a button to finish off the sketch, and I didn't add the sentiment panel; which really isn't surprising for me!

Group Hug

I've realized that I haven't made many Christmas cards yet this year; so come October I'm going to be in trouble!  So as you've probably guessed I have Holiday card to share with you!
Actually this card is more fitting then you think since we are under a winter storm advisory tonight through Thursday!!  The joys of spring in Alberta.

For my card I used Jen's Deconstructed Sketch 45 for my layout.  The stamp is Stamping Bella's Group Hug.  The image is stamped with memento tuxedo black ink onto bella's bestest white cs and coloured with copics.  I added a little glitter on the bodies of the snowmen.

Since it's Easter this month I used MFT's PI girl My Basket of Eggs.  The image is stamped with memento tuxedo black ink onto bella's bestest paper and coloured with copics.  I added some rhinestones on her shoes.  The calendar is from Taylored Expressions

Spring is in the Air

Happy Bellariffic Friday!  Today's theme is Spring or Easter - since I just came back from Cincinnati  (visiting my BFF) where it is full on late spring (unlike here where nothing is blooming yet BUT we don't have any snow in the forecast so that's a bonus) I decided to ink up a one of Paula's flower scenes.

Now the set is called Paula's Summer Days but really the fence with the flowers reminds me of spring.  The image is stamped with memento tuxedo black ink onto bella's bestest white cs.  The fence and the sky are done with pencils and gamsol while the flowers are coloured with copics.  For the centre of the flowers I used some tiny rhinestones.  I added some glitter in the sky (sorry it doesn't really show in the photo).  I kept the patterned paper simple because I wanted the image and flowers to stand out.  The dp I did use is from MME Miss Caroline Dolled up.  I added some scallop layered, black ribbon and black rhinestone strips.

Thank You

My husband mentioned today that he needs a Thank You card for a co-worker, which means not cute!  When I saw today's MFT sketch (MFTWSC64) I was totally inspired

The ds paper is Bazzill Basics Wayfarer (6x6) layered with kraft cs.  For the sentiment I used MFT's Thanks a Bunch stamps and die-namics polka dot greeting and die.  For the flower I used MFT's Upsy Daisy die-namics.

What's Cookin'

Happy Sunday it's time for another Sweet Sunday Sketch (SSSC155)  from Karen

So I flipped the sketch this week to work with the image I chose from Stamping Bella -What's Cookin' by Mo Manning

The image is stamped onto bella's bestest cream cs with memento tuxedo black ink and coloured with copics.  The ds paper is MME's all spice.  I did some shading with pencils blended with gamsol.  I added some glitter around the image.

You Perk Me Up!

How awesome was Stamping Bella's release yesterday?!  It was an expensive one for me! 

This weeks Bellariffic Friday was another fabulous sketch from Ebruabella.  

For my card I inked up one of the sweet Peeps - Perk Me Up Peeps 

The image is stamped with memento tuxedo black ink onto bella's bestest cream paper and coloured with copics.  I paper pieced the "sleeve" with the dp EP's This & That.  Around the image I shaded using distress inks in evergreen bough and old paper.  Instead of a bow I added a tiny black button.  I added some sewing around all the dp layers.
