Sassy Sweet Sunday

Wow I really am taking a break this month!  I did manage to get some time to play along with Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch for this week (SSSC168)

I decided to make my nieces birthday card (it's next month I'm actually ahead of the game) and in order to make MFT's PI girl Cute-a-tude work I flipped the sketch

The image is stamped with memento tuxedo black ink onto bella's bestest cream cs and coloured with copics.  Her dress is  paper pieced using MME's A Happy Heart.  The shading around the image is done with Scattered Straw distress ink.  I added a swiss dots to the base layer and on the right corner added a sentiment.  I chose this sentiment because my niece has always been one to give as good as she gets which is very good with the aunts & uncles she has!  For the inside I used a sentiment from MFT's Birthday Princess.

Please stop by the rest of the Sweet Sunday Stampers blogs, and this weeks Guest Stampers blog. If you play along with the sketch remember to link it on Karen's blog for a chance to be a Sweet Sunday Guest Stamper

Thanks for stopping by & have a great day

Just Popping By for SSS131

Happy Sunday I hope you are all having a great weekend; Karen has another fabulous sketch for us this week (SSSC131)

For my card I inked up one of my newer PI girls from MFT - Popping By.

The image is stamped with mementos tuxedo black ink and coloured with copics.  I paper pieced her top & pants with the ds paper which is My Minds Eye Lost & Found.  I added some rhinestones and stitched all the layers.  For the scallop I used MFT die-namics small scallop border die

A Sweet Long Weekend Sunday

I hope everyone is having a great weekend - and for those in Canada the long weekend! Karen has another fabulous sketch for us this week (SSSC118)

For my card this week  you will be shocked that I flipped the sketch, I inked up a MFT WTG image Girls Rule.

The image is stamped with mementos ink and coloured with copics.  I paper pieced her dress with some of the ds paper MME Stella & Rose - Mabel.  I've been studying the amazingly talented Linda & trying to figure out her shading around the image - I worked on it and I think I'm slowly getting the hang of it! I added some glitter around the shading and popped up the flower.  I used some of my die-namics scallop ribbon border and die-namics simply scallops border.

Please stop by the rest of the Sweet Sunday Stampers blogs to see their creations and I hope you can play along this week!!  Remember to link your card on Karen's blog

Thanks for stopping by & have a great Sunday!

Sweet Sunday SSSC107

Happy Sunday - I hope you have all had a great weekend!  Karen created another fantastic sketch for us, and somewhat daunting for a girl like me!!

I went back and forth several times finding just the right image for the sketch (SSSC107) and finally settled on flipping the sketch vertically and it came together for me (with some measuring!!)

I inked up MFT's Pure Innocence My Umbrella (currently not in stock)  and coloured her with copics then paper pieced her jacket, boots and umbrella with the ds paper from MME Stella & Rose's Gertie.  The squares are from the same piece of ds paper.  I added some twinkles along the bottom of the scallops border to give the image some bling.  I used a quickie glue pen and some glitter on the rain.  I popped up the panel with the image on because I can never seem to send cards without any dimension!

I hope you can play along with us this week and remember to link your card on Karen's Blog!!
