HAPPY NEW YEARS!

For many of you it is already 2010! We still have several hours to go, and in a little while I plan to be like Winobella!!

I used Mercy's sketch from this week (MTSC54) and stamped Winobella on bella's bestest white paper and coloured the image with copics, originally I coloured her dress but then I decided to paper piece it. I used my clear glaze pen on the bottle and the glasses and used a clear atyou spica pen on her hairband. The DS paper is from Crate Papers Bliss line & I added a strip of Rich Razzleberry ribbon. The cs is pale plum, wild wasabi & rich razzleberry. The punch is Martha Stewart's scalloped dot border punch.

Funny thing is I was working on this card when I was talking to Karen today, we haven't connected over the holidays so today was our first chat - she used Winobella too for her New Years card & Mercy's Sketch - see we really are BFF's!!

I hope you all have a safe & wonderful New Years - I am happy to say we are staying in (it's REALLY cold here again) and we are on our own (PHEW!!) so I am going enjoy my wine while watching the hockey games & hubby is making me dinner - what a perfect new years!

Happy 2010

A Shopping we will go....

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas; today in Canada it's the big Boxing Day sales & hubby & I are heading out to see what we can find - maybe a nice new pair of shoes?!

Todays is my last day as guest designer for the Sweet Stop blog, and I want to thank them for inviting me this month it was a lot of fun!

I inked up Stamping Bella's Shoe bag with mementos ink and stamped the image on bella's bestest paper and coloured it with copics. I used my pitch black atyou spica pen on the dots on the bag & melon atyou spica along the ribbon. I added a rhinestone to the centre of the flower & used my clear glaze pen on the show so in person they look like red patten leather shoes!

The DP is from We R Memorys White Out line called Frenzy and I added some button in the corner. I paper pierced around the ds paper and added a strip of ribbon.

Thanks for stopping by, make sure you check out all the Sugar Babes creations & have a great day!!

I used green stickles on her pompom, and baby blue stickles on his.

The DS paper is from basic greys Eskimo kisses, and I stitched around the edges. I added a snowflake from my Martha Stewart punch and a bella bonbon

Back to Reality...

This was me last week (really I look EXACTLY like beachabella in my swimsuit (wink, wink) We spent last week laying around the pool and walking along the beach in Cuba and having several beverages at the amazing swim up bar, it was fruit punch with rum so very healthy; lots of vitamins!! It was super relaxing but now we are home back to the snow & cold - I want to go back!!

I used Mercy's sketch challenge from last week (MTSC52) although my image was a little smaller then the sketch (oops!) Beachabella is stamped with memento's ink onto bella's bestest paper and coloured with copics, I added some shimmer to her bikini with an atyou spica pen and used my black glaze pen on her sunglasses.

The DS paper is from Basic Greys Indian Summer collection and I added a prima flower with a bella bonbon.

Now I'm trying to get ready for Christmas, but I am very behind - tomorrow will be a very busy day!!

Thanks for stopping by

Sweet Stop Sketch with a twist

I love that the Sweet Stop Sketch Challenge blog does a monthly Sketch with a twist (SSS35), this weeks twist was to make a pocket card.

I looked at the sketch and made a long pocket card for 2 gift cards I am sending for gifts this year, the card is 7x 3 1/2". I chose Polly Packages from stamping bella; since it's for Christmas gifts, and stamped her on Bella's bestest paper and coloured her with copics. The DS paper is from American Crafts Merry Mint line. I cut the card front and made a pocket with the bottom portion, and made my card close over the card.

I paper pieced around the patterned paper and added some chocolate satin ribbon and a chocolate button. Inside the card I used Stamping Bella's sentiment "especially for you"

Make sure you go to The Sweet Stop blog to see the amazing Sweet Stop girls cards & have a fantastic Saturday!!

If Life Gives You Lemons....

Make Lemonade! For my bellariffic Friday card I inked up Elizabeth LuLu and her Lemonade stand - what a fancy dancy stand!! I used Jen's SKFYTT from this week and the DS paper is Basic Grey's Lemonade (I couldn't resist!!)

The challenge this week was stitching, faux or with a machine so I stitched around my 2 layered pieces with my sewing machine. Elizabeth is stamped with mementos ink onto Bella's bestest paper and coloured with copics. It doesn't show too well in the picture but I used my lemon atyou spica pen along the cut lemon edges, my turquoise atyou spica along the letters and the flowers at the bottom, melon atyou along the green trim and finally clear in the center of the flowers. For the lemonade I used my clear glaze pen where the liquid is and added some lemonade baubles.

Make sure you pop over to Bloggabella later today to see all the amazing cards - we will be taking the next few weeks off because of the holidays but we will be back January 15th with a new Bellariffic Friday challenge!!

Have a great day

More Christmas Wishes...

I am happy to say all my Christmas cards are in the mail; I think they may even get to their destinations on time! This is the last set of "mass production" cards I made.

I used Mercy's sketch from last week (MTSC51) as my inspiration, and inked up my long neglected Elzybell's stamp Mark & Ela. The image is stamped with mementos ink and coloured with copics. For the falling snow I used glue and micro fine glitter, for the snow on the ground I used liquid applique and micro fine glitter, which I heated a little.

The DS paper is from My Mind's Eye's colourful Christmas as are the brads. I embossed the baja breeze paper with quickutz snowflakes and sewed around the patterend paper.

I sent these cards to my parent's and
brothers. When I was in about grade 1 (really not that long ago...) my dad, brothers & I went tobogganing outside of town. You parked on the side of the road & walked in and then walked back out. I was in front of my dad on the sled; but didn't know I was suppose to drive so we wound up in a tree; my foot was all wrapped up in the branches. Naturally I cried & cried & my brothers told me to quit being a wimp and then my poor dad had to pull me out on the sled. Fractured my foot; but the funniest part is the next year when we went out the poor little tree was growing crooked!!

So the moral of the story is if you are on the front of the sled keep your eyes open because you're the driver!!!

Sweet Stop Saturday

Good morning - hope you are all having a great weekend! I am thrilled to show you the card I made for The Sweet Stop Blog

This weeks sketch was perfect for this sweet Pure Innocence image, and I was able to make quite a few to try & finish of my cards! Pure Innocence Flurry of Love is stamped with mementos ink and coloured with copics. I added some glitter for the snow and falling flakes and my atyou spica pen along the top of her boots. Really this image shows how the weather has been around here!!

The DS paper is from Fancy Pants Frosted line; string of snow & colour of winter. I sewed around the edges of the ds paper; this is so much faster then paper piercing when I am in mass production, although I do still love paper piercing! I added a Martha snowflake and a pink rhinestone.

Thank for stopping by & make sure you stop by the Sweet Stop to see the Sweet Stop girls creations!
