Revisiting

Happy Saturday!  It's a long weekend here in Alberta - hubby's happy that means an extra day of golf!

For today's Sweet Stop Sketch (SSS67) I went through my bella binda's and found on of the original solid stamps I bought from Stamping Bella - Solid flowery weeds.  I dug out my markers (Em sells american crafts markers now!) and coloured the image with artichoke for the stems, yellow and a touch of pink at the base of the flower - I huffed & puffed and then stamped my image onto bella's bestest cream paper.  At the base of the flowers I added some glamour dust glitter.

I kept this card very simple, again I layered everything on black cs; I am loving how it pops the colours on your card

Please stop by the Sweet Stop blog to see the rest of the Sugar Babies creations & I hope you have a chance to play along with us this week

It's Christmas in JULY!!

Holy smokes I really have been a slacker this week - I promise I will post more next week!!! This weeks Bellariffic Fridays Challenge was Christmas in July - how fitting since da Bella released the sweetest Christmas stamps with this weeks release

I didn't get a chance to play along with all the Dare to get Dirty challenges on SCS last week but I did love this sketch and had to use it!  I promised myself I would make 2 of each Christmas card I made to try and get a stash; this week I made 3!!  That's because I had just the right amount of ds paper.

Polar Bear Circle is stamped with mementos ink onto bella's bestest paper and coloured with copics.  For the snowflakes & snow on the ground I used my quickie glue pen & glamour dust glitter.  The sentiment is also from Stamping bella.  I added a ghost snowflake & red bonbon to finish off my card

Next week is the fist week of our challenge to fine a new babe!  That's right we're looking for a new babe & it could be you!  Just play along in all 4 Challenges in August since and requirement of being a babe is BellaRiffic Fridays you will be getting into practice and showing us your stuff!  A winner will be announced in Sept; but remember you have to enter all 4 challenges!
Next weeks is one of my favourite things - Paper Piercing!!!  Email Em your card by Thursday!

Please stop by Bloggabella to see the rest of the Babes creations & the Sistahs Christmas in July cards!   Don't forget you can still cash in on the savings from Tantalizing Tooosday!!

Thank you

It's Saturday so that means it time for another amazing sketch from the Sweet Stop blog (SSS66)!

This week I made a thank you card for hubby's assistant (who is also a very good friend of mine) because she does such an amazing job & takes such great care of him & me - we would be lost without her!

I inked up Daisy with a ladybug from Stamping Bella and stamped the image onto bella's bestest cream paper.  The image is coloured with copcis, and at the base of the petals I added some glamour dust glitter.  In the centre of the leaf I added some dark green micro fine glitter.  The sentiment is also from Stamping Bella - I love the various fonts Em has for her sentiments and they aren't too big!  The ds paper is from my stash & I have continued with my new addiction of layering on black - this is a new trend from me but I really like how everything pops

Please stop by the Sweet Stop blog to see the rest of the Sugar Babies creations & I hope you have a chance to play along with us this week.

Feeling Grumpy

Happy Friday!  I have to say I've been a total slacker when it comes to stamping - it's the nice weather & the golfing & the golf lessons & whatever other excuse I can come up with!  The lack of mojo isn't helping so don't be surprised if things are a little sporadic over the next little while!!

This weeks Bellariffic Fridays challenge was to use Bella or Stella which was fun because Bella is where it all started for me!  I remember a bunch of us ordering the stamps in Toronto before the store was even open!  I went back through my bindah and decided to go with one of the original for me - Grumpabella.  I like to say I not grumpy in the mornings, as long as I am left on my own for the first little while!  On weekends hubby gets up and wants to get going or get the day planned before I've had my coffee; then I am Grumpabella!!

The image is stamped with mementos ink onto bella's bestest paper & coloured with copics.  I paper pieced her robe 2x with cosmo crickets early bird paper (how perfect is that early bird with grumpy mornings?!)  I used one of the fabulous sketches from the Dare to get Dirty challenges over on SCS (DTGD10rainy) for my layout - if you haven't had a chance pop by and see all the great challenges!

Don't forget to stop by Bloggabella to see the rest of the babes creations with Bella or Stella & what the Sistah have done!  Remember to leave Em a comment for a chance to win Bellabucks!!

Next weeks Bellariffic Friday challenge is Christmas in July - it's a perfect chance to get a jump start on your holiday cards!  Email Em your cards by Thursday to be included on Friday.

Thanks for stopping by & have a great day!!

Happy Birthday LESLIE!!

Today is my wonderful friend Leslie's birthday!!  I must apologize; I didn't get her card made until today - horrible I know!

For her card I played along with Jen's sketch for you to try from this week.  I inked up Izzie has a Birfday Cake from Stamping Bella & coloured her with copics.  For the polka dots on her dress and hairband I added some black micro fine glitter.  The cake is coloured with copics, but for the icing I used chocolate marvy liquid applique and added some java micro fine glitter.  On Izzie's shoes and strips on her coat I used a pitch black atyou spica pen.

The ds paper is from Bo Bunny - layered on tempting turquoise and black cs.  The sentiment is from stamping bella & I added some prima flowers & a bella bonbon in the centre of the flowers

This weeks Bellariffic Fridays challenge is Bella or Stella!  Make sure you email your card to Em by Thursday to be included on Friday

Thanks for stopping & have a great day!!

Sweet Wishes

This weeks Sweet Stop Sketch was with a spin - use a tag!  I decided to make a Christmas card since I haven't been making them weekly as I hoped; and I even stuck to my plan of making 2 whenever I do make them!

I inked up Candy jar with Holly from Stamping Bella onto bella's bestest paper and coloured the image with copics.  I used a gelly roller pen to add some sparkle to the mints then coloured the entire jar with a clear glaze pen to make it look like glass.  For my take I used the second sentiment that comes with the stamp.  The ds paper is from WeR Memory Keepers called Merry & Bright.

Please stop by the Sweet Stop Blog to see the rest of the Sugar Babies creations & I hope you can play along with us this week!

Thanks for stopping by & have a great day

Oh the places you will go....

Happy Friday - whew I honestly don't know where this week went but it's Friday so that means it's Bellariffic Friday!!

I inked up Bye Bye Girl by Mo Manning for Stamping Bella - it's such a sweet image!  I stamped it onto bella's bestest paper with mementos & coloured with copics.  I added some glamour dust glitter on her jacket and on the tassels (is that the right word?!) on her bike.  For the dots on the lady bug knapsack I used some black micro fine glitter.  For the bike I used a clear glaze pen to give the bike some shine.  In the corner are some blue jean bella glitter dots.

This card is for my girlfriend who is moving from Calgary to Halifax on Monday - she is only suppose to be going for a year secondment, but I think there are "places for her to go"  and they don't lead her back to Calgary!  I am excited for her & excited that I have a new place to visit!!

Make sure you pop by Bloggabella today to see the rest of the Babes cards & the sistahs creations with the sketch.  Next weeks Bellariffic Fridays challenge is BELLA or STELLA!!  Email Em your card by Thursday to be included next week!

Happy Anniversary...

Yep it's my 18th wedding anniversary today (I was very young {wink}) so that means hubby is out of town!  He left very early this am for California for work; I honestly think he's been home for 5 of our anniversaries!  At least he's consistent right?!

We are not the warm fuzzy card kind of couple so I have usually struggled with the cards I make him, but not this year thanks to Bugaboo Stamps & Gus & Stella!!

"Commitment & Insanity" is coloured with copics.  On their glasses and on the backs of their chairs I used a clear glaze pen.  I love how bugaboo stamps gives you the sentiment in a separate file so you can make them as big as you want or as small as you want & place them where they work for you.  The ds paper is basic greys Oliver & I used a past challenge from crazy 4 challenges (C4C43)

I hope you have a great day - I am very excited to watch the final match today at the World Cup - I hope the weather is better for them today then yesterday (although my weather in the afternoon looked like the rain in South Africa!!)

Have a great day & thanks for stopping by

Feel Better...

Happy Saturday; it's time for another Sweet Stop Sketch (SSS64)  For todays card I inked up another sweet Pure Innocence girl from MFT.  My mom had knee surgery yesterday & I had planned to go out to help but hubby brought a cold into the house so there was no driving 7.5 hours for me & quite frankly my mom didn't want anyone with a cold coming into her house! Instead I made her a card & got it in the mail.

Better get Better is stamped with mementos ink and coloured with copics.  I paper pieced the heart in her hair & paper pieced the image onto the ds paper from basic grey with my sentiment.  The ds paper is basic greys Olivia stitched on my cs.  The punch is from Martha Stewart.

Please stop by the Sweet Stop blog to see the rest of the Sugar Babies creations and I hope you can play along with us this week

Huggabugg Bellariffic

Happy Friday!  Today's Bellariffic Fridays challenge was to ink up those sweet huggabuggs!

I inked up buzzy huggabugg and stamped him onto bella's bestest paper and coloured him with copics.  For his antenna's I used some silver liquid pearls.  The DS paper is early bird which is layered on prima paper.

Next week's bellariffic friday challenge is a sketch (I {heart} sketches!!)  I know it's nice & summery out there but I hope you can play along.  Email your cards to Em by Thursday to be included & you can win some bella bucks!!

Thanks for stopping by & have a great day

The Sentiment Fits....

Thanks to Jeanie (the spotted chick) and Meahni I have a new addiction - Bugaboo Stamps; more specifically Stella!  I just love how her sentiments fit the images, and quite frankly they are often what I think!

When I saw Oxymoron I knew I had to have her!  When I was in high school my brother's girlfriend would spend the weekends at our house; the first Monday she was at our house she didn't know the system; don't talk to Dana!  I came downstairs first thing in the morning & she had the nerve to say "good morning" to me - I scowled & went into the bathroom to hear my mom say that I was a mute until I have my coffee - so true!!

Stella is printed on neenah paper and coloured with copics.  I used a clear glaze pen on her glasses and coffee cup.  The ds paper is from basic grey's Olivia 6x6 pad & I used this weeks Mojo Monday sketch (MOJO146)

Sweet Mavis

When Stamping Bella released sweet Mavis last month I was so excited; and I am not a cat person but she is so darn cute!  This week I decided it was time to ink up Mavis has a Daisy to play along with Karen's Sweet Sunday sketch from this week (SSSC76)

Mavis has a daisy is stamped with mementos ink onto bella's bestest cream paper and coloured with copics.  Her dress is paper pieced from my stash of ds paper and her flowers are paper pieced with tiny red rhinestones in the middle.  The background ds paper is from my minds eye quite contrary paper which I sewed onto the prisma paper.

Don't forget this weeks Bellariffic Fridays challenge is Huggabuggs!  Email Em your card by Thursday to be included.

Thanks for stopping by - have a great day!!

Getting Muddy

Happy Saturday - ti's time for another Sweet Stop Sketch(SSS63) & this weeks was fantastic (really I love them all!!)  Maybe it's because I am trying to embrace my garden (it was here when we moved in & I am learning lots this year!) I had to ink up Mud Buddies from MFT's Pure Innocence collection!

The image is stamped with mementos ink and coloured with copics.  I coloured her boots, paper pieced them and used a clear glaze pen on them.  In the centre of the flowers I added some purple tiny twinkles.  The DS paper is from kaiser kraft's utopia collection.  I sewed the ds paper onto the perfect plum cs & it's all layered on pale plum.

Please stop by the Sweet Stop Blog to see the rest of the Sugar Babies creations & I hope you can play along with the

Thanks for stopping by &  I hope you have a great weekend & a great long weekend to all of you girls south of the border!!

Excu Bellariffic

This weeks Bellariffic Friday's challenge was a Square Card.  When Execubella came out I immediately knew I needed her!  My friend had me in his blackberry as Director of Dana White Inc; then I negotiate (really not much was required because I had just made a fab dinner)  and became Vice President last summer & then this year he moved and had a new blackberry so now I am PRESIDENT of Dana White Inc; I like to point out to hubby that I am  PRESIDENT.  Needless to say for his birthday this coming week I had to use Execubella!

The image is stamped with mementos ink onto bella's bestest paper and coloured her with copics.  I used a clear glaze pen on her mug and desk because the desk in my stamp room is glass.

The ds paper is from American Craft's Junior line called radical.  I stitched around the ds and used ek successes chain link punch

Make sure you stop by Bloggabella to see the rest of the square cards & don't forget about the special Em in running in honour of her birthday & the release from this week -

Next weeks Bellariffic Fridays theme is HUGGABUGGS - they are so stinking cute!

July Calender

Can you believe it's already July - seriously where does the time go?! This month I reached for another Ketto stamp from Stamping Bella for my calender page

Ivy Ketto is stamped with mementos ink and coloured with copics. I used my clear atyou spica pen along the circles of the ivy and my black atyou spica pen on the tips of her hair

Thanks for stopping by & have a great day
