My Kinda Diet

I wanted to try and get another challenge done on the Stampin' out Alzheimer's blog because I think what Jen has done is absolutely amazing!!

I chose the Verve challenge; it was hard to pick because they were all so amazing! I used my Elzybell from Just Desserts- and I LOVE her idea of a diet (I am sure my trainer at the gym wouldn't agree!!)

She is stamped with mementos ink on Gina K's Pure Luxury CS and coloured with copics; I did paper piece her dress.

The cb is SU's Riding Hood Red layered with Baja Breeze that I embossed with swiss dots. I stamped my sentiment, which came with the stamp before embossing.

The DS paper is from Bella Blvd & it's layered on Riding hood Red and paper pierced. I layered the image Pumpkin Pie, Baja Breeze & Riding Hood Red & added some Pumpkin Ribbon

Hope you have a chance to take part in some of the amazing challenges on the Stampin' out Alzheimer's blog & have a fantastic Sunday!

Doing the KETTO HOP!!!

Welcome to the first Ketto Blog Hop sponsored by Stamping Bella! If you've just happened upon my blog, you can CLICK HERE to start from the beginning at Bloggabella.

I chose the lovely Maisy Ketto for my hop - she is stamped with memento tuxedo black ink and coloured with copics. I used some orange stickles on her wings & crown (you know orange is one of my favourite colours!) and lace stickles on her wings. Both her crown and the center to the flower are cut and paper pieced onto the image to give it some dimension.

The DS paper is from Pink Paislee & it's called enchanting; just like all the Kettos!! The cb is chocolate chip layered with pumpkin pie & certainly celery, I paper pierced around the DS paper. On the celery ribbon I added 3 daisy pink flowers with my Kajinker (such a fun tool to use)

Thanks so much for stopping by! Now it's time to hop on over to see what the amazingly talented Paula has to share - if I lived close to her I would be stalking her for lessons on colouring with pencils!!

Enjoy the rest of the HOP and have a great day!!

Bellariffic Packages

This weeks Bellariffic challenge was another amazing sketch by Nicky, as soon as I saw it I knew it would be this weeks Christmas card!

Polly Packages is stamped with mementos ink and coloured with copics. I added some stickles on her buttons and the holly on her toque (yep totally Canadian here!!) The card base is river rock and I actually used Brilliant blue on this card! The brilliant blue is embossed with snowflakes. The DS paper is from Little Yellow Bicycle (Christmas dots).

I added a piece of river rock ribbon and a ghost snowflake and 3 ruby red bella bonbons. The sentiment is from Stamping Bella

Make sure you stop by Bloggabella to see the other creations!!

Have a great Friday

Two by Two

My BFF Karen and Jodi Collins are hosting a challenge for Taylored Expressions on Stampin Out Alzheimer's, and I HAD to play along!! The challenge is 2x2; use only brown and pink paper and 2 embellishments.

I chose a stamp from Taylored Expressions Whimsical Wishes set called Fresh Flowers. The image is stamped with Memento ink and coloured with copics, I admit I used a little green on the leaves; didn't want dead looking leaves on my flowers! I was on the phone with Karen at the time (you know our afternoon chat) and confirmed that was OK.

The cb is Pretty in Pink, and the DS paper is from Bo Bunny. I cut the image with nesties rectangles and layered it on rectangles cut from the DS paper. I used my SU punch for the edges of the strip and added some chocolate chip ribbon and some pink rhinestones

If you haven't had a chance make sure you pop over to Stampin' Out Alzheimer's and play along with the challenges, Jen Tapler has done an amazing thing by setting up the blog and all the challenges & raising so much money for the Alzheimer's Society

Thanks for stopping by & have a great day

Leslie I'm OK!!!!

My wonderful friend Leslie who lives in the Toronto area always starts to worry if everything is OK when I haven't been posting in awhile; she is so sweet!! I must apologize to her & my bff because they have both tracked me down to make sure all was well & it is; I've actually been out more then home!!

I finally made a card today & for this sweet BEEday Huggabugg I used the Mojo 88 sketch; which can be found on the Mojo site & Stampin' out Alzheimer's. This is an amazing challenge blog started by Jen Tapler; if you haven't signed up please do, I am sure we either have someone in our lives who has been affected by this disease, or know someone who has.

I've had this image stamped and waiting to be coloured for awhile- this sketch fit perfectly with the flower nesties that I wanted to use. BEEday Huggabugg is stamped with mementos black ink and coloured with copics. I paper pieced the presents so that they are away from the bug.

The DS paper is from American Crafts, and yes that's summer sun on this card; I swear I am still on my original package!! I finished it off with some Bella bonbons in cotton candy

Just a reminder this weeks Bellariffic Friday is another amazing sketch from Nicky - make sure you email your card to Em by 5pm EST Thurs to be entered in the draw for bella bucks

Thanks for stopping by & have a great day!!

Queen Bellariffic!!

Wow it's Friday already - which you know means it's Bellariffic!! This week Nickabella came up with this amazing sketch; I love Nicky's card style so I was excited to play along!!

I chose Queen Bee Huggabugg because Nicky is my Queen :)

The image is stamped with mementos tuxedo black ink and coloured with copics. I stamped the bottom of her dress on perfect plum cs and paper pieced it.
Because she is royalty I used my gelly roller pen on the swirls of the skirt. Her crown and wings have Glamour Dust Glitter, which if you don't have any it's FANTASTIC!!

The DS paper feels like felt & it's from 7 Gypsies Flocked paper line (LEI). I added bella bonbons & the sentiment comes with the Queen

Don't forget to stop by Bloggabella to see all the other amazing cards

Thanks for stopping by & have a great Friday!!

Rockin' the Cupcake Challenge

YEAH two challenges in one!!! I played along with the Corrosive Challenge Blog by Janet this week which was anything to do with Rock because she is a rocker chick!! Then I used Taylor's Cupcake Challenge TECC68 from this week AND all the paper is from my March Taylored Expressions Key Ingredients kit (they are worth every penny even for us Canadian girls!!)

Rockstar Anya image was given to me in a swap by the rocker chick herself Janet so I happy to do her challenge. This is the 2nd Greetinig Farm stamp I've used & I can honestly say I feel an order coming on!!!

I coloured her with copics and cut the image out with my nesties. I added some ghost stars with buttons from my stash (they are from basic grey) Along the red strip I added some rhinestones to give her some bling since she's a Rockstar!!

Thanks for stopping by & have a rockin' great day :)

Feeling Like Christmas

I survived the drive home from my parents on Monday; but I can honestly say I won't be driving on a holiday again (if I can help it!!) I left early (but not crazy early) to try and get ahead of traffic; the biggest problem are the 2 mountain passes I go through (one is through the Rockies & it's gorgeous!!) because trucks & trailers lose power & slow me down!! Between all the travellers and the animals along & on the hwy (black bear, deer several times & mountain goats) it made for an exhausting day SO yesterday I didn't accomplish anything but groceries!!

ANYWAYS...This week Da Bella (Stamping Bella) is sponsoring the CPS- card sketch How cool is that?!?! First I loved the sketch so it was easy to do today & it helped me get my groove back on. Since it tried to snow when I was driving home Monday around Banff & it's trying to snow today here it was easy to do a Christmas card.

I chose Wreathabella for this layout, haven't inked her up for awhile and anytime I get to use a bella I'm happy. I stamped her with Memento ink and coloured her with copics. I added stickles for the berries and the fringe on her boots and hat

The DS paper is from Scenic Route(Garland). The sentiment is also from Stamping Bella and I added some 5mm ruby red bonbons

Don't forget about Bellariffic Fridays - this weeks it's this amazing Sketch from Nicky (she's the best isn't she?!) Just make sure you have your card emailed to Em by 5pm est Thursday to be entered in the draw for bella bucks

Thanks for stopping by & tomorrow I will be rockin'....

I Wish I was A Ketto....

Well it's the end of our long weekend & today I will be wishing I had wings like madeline Ketto because I drove to my parents in Nelson B.C on Wednesday before the holiday traffic BUT I have to come home today - IN the holiday traffic I NEED WINGS!!! Hubby stayed behind because of work so he is golfing while I am driving; normally 7-8 hrs but who knows how long it will take today...

ANYWAYS for this card I used Jen's SKFYTT from last weekend. Madeline Ketto is coloured with copics except her dress & shoes which I paper pieced to make sure I got the right colour of red. I added some stickles to her wings because you have to shimmer when you fly.

The DS paper is from American Crafts, some of the stash I brought back from my trip to the Stamping Bella store. Instead of a circle I used 2 primas and added a bella bonbon

Thanks for stopping by - hopefully I had an uneventful trip home

Groovy Bellariffic

Yeah it's Friday - so that means it's Bellariffic!! This weeks inspiration was pretty wild; it's one of Em's shirts (don't need to say anymore!!) The requirement was gold & bling... well I have bling but the gold part is tough; I can honestly say I'm not drawn to gold so I went through my stash of paper and found some WHEW!!

After going through my Bindahs I settled on peace Hightops which I embossed in gold then coloured with copics to match my paper. The DS paper is from G.C.D's Paris nights collection. I added some prima flowers which I sprayed with walnut gold glimmer mist (yes Gloria you can tell the girls I finally tried it!!)

I know there isn't much bling on the card, just a couple of baubles BUT that's because I didn't have any GOLD - really I do need more gold...

Make sure you stop by Bloggabella to see all the other cards that the babes & sisters have made & remember there will be a new challenge on Monday!!

It's a long weekend here in Canada - so hopefully the weather will get hotter (or at least no rain & snow for us!!) To all the Canucks out there have a great long weekend

A card for Abygail...

This weeks challenge over at the Corrosive Challenge by Janet was a Sketch challenge - I have to say I really like sketch challenges or themes so I was excited to play along!

Janet received a sweet puppy for her birthday so I decided to honour Abygail & Janet with my card :)

I chose Torn Paper from Elzybells because Janet hasn't had a lot of time to stamp this weeks; she's been having to keep her eye on the little one. I stamped the image with memento tuxedo black ink and coloured it with lyras, prismacolours & mineral spirits. The DS paper is from SU - riding hood red.

I dusted of my quickutz (don't remember the last time I used those!) and cut her name out using "olivia"

Janet hopefully when you get this Abygail doesn't tear it up!!

Have a great day everyone

Happy Holidays...

In keeping with my plan of a Christmas card a week I decided Taylored Expressions cupcake challenge was perfect. I must admit I don't normally put my stuff on at an angle so this was out of my comfort level!

I stamped my cupcake from Home Sweet Home with memento tuxedo black ink and coloured the image with lyras, prismacolor and mineral spirits. Both the image and the patterned paper are cut with nesties. The DS is from my minds eye.

The CB is su's Pretty in Pink layered with Baja Breeze embossed with snowflakes. I used SU's new lace border punch and added soft pink rhinestones along the bottom

Thanks for stopping by & have a great day!!!

BFF'S....

Well I am back from Phoenix & we had a great time; 8 rounds of golf in 8 days!! We did hit a bit of a heat wave down there so the last couple of rounds in the low 100's was HOT!!

I had a chance to play with another of Stamping Bella's new releases - the bff'sabugg and it's soooooo cute!! Now if you know me you can tell by the colouring where this card is headed; yep the Boston area....

For this card I used SC225 from a couple of weeks ago. I stamped the image with menentos and coloured the buggs with copics. I added some bella glitter onto the wings and used my atyou spica pen on the hearts

The sentiment is also from Stamping Bella and a added some bella bonbons. Don't forget to stop by Bloggabella to hear what this weeks Bellariffic Friday challenge is; remember you can win bella bucks if you email your card to Em by 5pm EST on Thursday!!

Thanks for stopping by & have a great day!

"FORE" your birthday

This is the card I made for my hubby's birthday last week - this has been him the past 8 days golfing (with me) in the sun - sadly now it's time to pack up & head home where it's hopefully sunny and we can continue golfing there! I also hope he has been smiling while we've been playing!

I had fun making this card because hubby wouldn't be caught in ANY of these colours!! Golfafella is stamped with memento tuxedo black ink and coloured with copics. I used some stickles on the golf ball (again would never use a shiny golf ball...)

The image is cut with nesties ovals and layered on paper from Basic Grey's new line Lime Rickey, the DS is also from the Lime Rickey line

The sentiment is from Stamping Bella as are the embellishments; they are charms but I just cut off the circle for hanging it on and used micro dots to adhere them

Remember to check Bloggabella for all the Bellariffic cards yesterday & Em will have a new challenge on Monday

Thanks for stopping by, hopefully I am feeling good after 8 rounds of golf in Phoenix!!

Monster Birthday...

Over on the Corrosive Challenge blog by Janet the challenge this week is to make a birthday card 'cuz it's her birthday today (happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you, happy birthday my friend happy birthday to you!!)

I love this new stamp from Stamping Bella called Monstah Mash and I decided to use if for Janet's challenge. I coloured the center one orange for me 'cuz I'm the tallest & the green one is Karen (no pink in the paper so she agreed on green) and red for Janet 'cuz she's the shortest of us all!!

Monstah Mash is coloured with Lyras, Prismacolors and mineral spirits and on their teeth I used atyou spica pens because these monstah's have good teeth :) I added some stickles on the antennas and the dots. The balloon is popped up

The sentiment is from Stamping Bella & I finished it off with some Bella bonbons

Remember you have until 5pm EST to send Em your cards for this weeks Bellariffic challenge - birthday bash

Have a great day & thanks for stopping by!!

HELLO IAN

I have seen so many of these Greeting Farm stamps on blogs & Janet is a huge fan of their Anya stamps so when I was placing and order from StampinandScrappin I added Hello Ian onto my order & I have to say I had a lot of fun colouring him!!

Hello Ian is stamped with memento tuxedo black ink on Gina K's Pure Luxury paper and he is coloured with copics. I paper pieced his hat and scarf; the DS paper is Basic Greys Marrakech. His flower is coloured; the center is again the Marrakech DS paper and I used a gelly roll pen to give some sparkle to the center of the flower.

The card base is SU's Tempting Turquoise and the DS paper is again from teh Marrakech line; it is layered on SU's chocolate chip card stock. Teh image is cut with a rectangle nesties and layered on a solid cs from the Basic Grey Marrkech

I wanted to keep this as a boy card so I didn't add any embellishments PLUS I wanted the stamp to be the main focus

Thanks for stopping by & have a fantastic day!

Season's Greetings...

Yep I am back on the Christmas card a week train, hopefully I won't fall off the tracks again BUT again don't hold your breath - hey Joanne a little birdie told me you were gonna start a Christmas card a week how's that going?!
For this card I used SC226. The image is from Stamping Bella, reindeer in a circle.

I stamped the image on shimmer paper and coloured him with my copics. I found the copics feather a little so be careful around the edges of your image! They really soaked into the paper. The image is cut with a marvy circle punch and layered on a nesties circle then a nesties scallop circle which I paper pierced.

I ran the riding hood red paper through my big shot with cuttlebugs snowflake embossing folder. The DS paper is from Best Creations Inc.

The sentiment is from Stamping Bella; there are great fonts & sentiments over there! I added some 7mm ruby red bella bonbons

Thanks for stopping by & Happy Birthday Ryan - that means today is the last day for free shipping on orders over $50.00 at Stamping Bella; click here for the details

On cloud 9...

I am lovin' these new 'tude girls & wanted to use ALTEE 'tude for this week bellariffic challenge which was this amazing sketch that bella babe Jen made.

ALTEE 'tude girl is stamped with memento tuxedo black ink and coloured with copics, I used soft colours that are in the designer paper which is from SEI & it's called "lovebirds" - I liked that it has shimmer in the paper.

I wanted a pop of colour so I chose pacific point and ran in through the big shot with cuttlebugs divine swirls. I added glitter to various swirls, a trick I learnt from the amazing Nicky :)

I paper pieced her hat and the nine so in real life there is a little dimension - the sentiment comes with the stamp (love that) and I added a very soft bella bauble in matte lilac

Remember Em will have another Bellariffic Friday challenge on Monday so make sure you play along - you could win bella bucks!!

Have a great day & thanks for stopping by!!

May flowers....

Ahh May finally - now that I am living back in Calgary I have to again say I hope we get flowers and not snow; yes we have had some heavy snowfalls in Mayand since it snowed a little the end of April I am a little nervous!

Because of Mother's Day and it's suppose to be time to get your gardens planted (later in the month here!) I choose Flowahbella.

The image is stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and coloured with copics.

For the background I used a Sizzix embossing plate with large flowers on SU's Pink Pirouette and the calender is mounted on Baja Breeze

Don't forget it's Bellariffic Friday - click here to see all the amazing cards and remember on Monday Em will have a new inspiration posted.

AND remember until May 4 Da Bella is offering free shipping on all orders over $50.00 - the code is "happyweek"
