Sweet Tilly

Happy Monday (really don't mind Monday's because I get the house back to myself!) I hope everyone had a great weekend - it was sunny and nice here all weekend & it's suppose to last through the week - Wohoo!!

When I saw Karen G's Sweet Sunday Sketch this week (SSSC75) I knew exactly which image I was going to do; Tilly the teacup girl from Stamping Bella's Green Bean Babies line.  Tilly is stamped with mementos ink onto bella's bestest paper & coloured with copics.  I paper pieced the flowers in her hair and the flowers on the teacup.  On the centre of the flowers in her hair I added some tiny rhinestones & coloured then with a copics marker.  For the centre of flowers on the teacup I used some crystal stickles.

The ds paper is basic grey's Olivia layered on white cs & not quite navy.  The flowers are an ek success punch with some basic grey brads in the centre

I hope you had a chance to pop over to Bloggabella to see the new release and Em is celebrating her birthday with a sale - 20% off your purchase until Friday July 3!! The discount code is emily38

Celebrate

Happy Saturday it's time for another Sweet Stop Sketch!  I needed a retirement card for one of my hubby's co-workers.  Actually we both worked with her (since we met at work) and she is one of the sweetest people in the world!  Since being back in Calgary she & I have gotten into the routine of having lunch & now that she's retired (and I like to say I am too) we won't be on the "clock" when we get together!

I had this idea rumbling in my head & was happy with how it turned out (don't you love it when it works out how you imagined?!) For this weeks sketch (SSS62) I used Stamping Bella's "celebrate" definition.  The definition is stamped with mementos ink onto SU's pink pirouette paper.  The flower is a nesties flower made with My Minds Eye quite contrary paper and I added a button.

The scallop along the bottom is a new purchase - Tim Holtz Alterations.  It's  fantastic die that has 2 shapes you can layer, I didn't want my sentiment on a scallop so I just used the one but I have to warn you its not a straight line & the holes aren't even which is hard for me - I struggled with bonbons not being in a perfectly straight row (and I tried to fudge them to make it as straight as possible)

Please stop by the Sweet Stop blog to see the rest of the Sugar Babies creations & I hope you can play along with the Sweet Stop this week

Have a great day

Bellariffic Friday's Are Back

Wohoo Bellariffic Friday's are back after a short vaca (sounds like Em had a fantastic trip!!) and to kick it off we had an amazing sketch AND it's EM's BIRTHDAY so the babes thought we would make her some birthday wishes cards!!

I decided after much searching that Matilda Muffinbread would be perfect - instead of muffinbread I made a cupcake!  The image is stamped on bella's bestest paper & coloured with copics.  I added a pink atyou spica pen to the centre of the bows on her dress, the polka dots and in the centre of the flowers on her shoes.

For the icing on the cupcake I used some white liquid applique and added some glamour dust glitter; then just slightly heat embossed it so it was a little puffy.  I used the glamour dust glitter on the centre of the flowers in her hair and in the centre of her wings.  The ds paper is from Heidi Grace Designs.

Please stop by Bloggabella today to see the other birthday cards the babes created and all the amazing cards done with the sketch.  Next weeks Bellariffic Fridays theme is SQUARE CARDS! Email your cards to Em by Thursday to be included in Bellariffic Fridays; remember you could with Bella bucks!!

Thanks for stopping by & have a fantastic day

Summer wishes

We finally had some nice weather, but now we've had thunderstorms and now it's cool again so I might have to head to Jeanie's to put on my swimsuit!!

Since I can't wear a swimsuit because of our weather (really that's the only reason!!)I decided to ink up Kraftin' Kimmies Stamps Eleanor which I bought from Scrappin Great Deals.  The image is stamped on bella's bestest paper and coloured with copics.  I paper pieced the flowers on the cap & added some tiny red rhinestones.  I used a clear glaze pen on the cap to make it look more like a swim cap.  On the stripes on her swim suit I used a lemon atyou spica pen

I used Mercy's sketch from this week (MTSC79).  The ds paper is from October afternoons Thift shop line stitched on kraft paper; which means I played along with Jeanie's That's Krafty Thursdays (TKT31)!!

Thanks for stopping  by & have a fantastic day!!

Father's Day Wishes

Last week I decided there was no chance of snow so I hopped in my car & drove to my parent's in B.C  Weather is an issue when I drive there because I go through 2 mountain passes, the one being the Rocky Mountains!

I remembered to pack my Father's Day card; which i made with my "father" definition block stamp from Stamping Bella.  I really love these definitions because I am adopted & they include "adopted".  The image is stamped on bella's bestest cream paper with mementos brown ink and mounted some basic grey from my stash and I paper pierced around the edges.

BELLARIFFIC FRIDAYS is back this week!!  Email Em your card made with this fantastic sketch by Thursday to be included

Thanks for stopping by & have a fantastic day - I will be recovering from my solo 7.5 hr drive!!

A Sketch with a Spin

This weeks Sweet Stop Sketch challenge (SSS61) is a sketch with a spin - decorate the inside of your card.  I like how this looks, but admit I never seem to do it since my card bases are usually white or cream.

I flipped the sketch to work with my image and inked up one of my original stamps from Stamping Bella - Loopy Daisy.  The image is stamped with mementos ink onto bella's bestest cream paper and coloured with pencils and mineral spirits.  I paper pieced the flower and added some glamour dust glitter to the centre.

The ds paper is from Bo Bunny's love you bunches line layered on pretty in pink & celery cs.  The punch is from Martha Stewart and I added some tiny rhinestones in the centre.

For the inside I repeated the layering of celery, pretty in pink and added a top and bottom border with the ds paper.  The top border I repeated the punch.

Please stop by the Sweet Stop blog to see the rest of the Sugar Babies creations & I hope you can play along this week

Thanks for stopping by - I hope you have a fantastic Saturday!!

Happy Mail

I am in love with all the sweet Pure Innocence images at MFT and I am slowly getting them all inked up!

I finally inked up Pure Innocence's Happy Mail and worked with an old sketch from Taylor (TESC114) because it worked perfectly.  The image is stamped with mementos ink onto bella's bestest paper and coloured with copics.  I paper pieced her dress, pocket & collar and letters.  The ds paper is cosmo cricket early bird layered on blue bazzil paper I had in my stash and kraft paper - I am using this more because of Jeanie's Krafty Thursdays!!

I used a clear glaze pen on her shoes & the mail arm (is that what it's called - we don't have mail boxes like this in Canada!!) The heart on the mailbox is also paper pieced and has stardust stickles on it.  I sewed around the ds paper and added some buttons.

Thanks so much for stopping by and have a great day

Cosmo...

On the weekend it was a friends birthday so I wanted to make her a fun card - so I inked up CosmoBella.

I used this weeks sketch on SCS (SC284) for my inspiration.  Cosmobella is stamped with mementos ink onto bella's bestest cream paper and coloured with copics.  I used a clear glaze pen for the liquid in the glass.

The ds paper is from my stash; I believe it's cosmo cricket, the rest of the paper is prism paper.  I added some ribbon and red bella bonbons.

Remember you have until next week to play along with the next Bellariffic Friday (June 25) and it's this fabulous sketch.

Thanks for stopping by & have a great day

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!

Welcome to the start of my BFF Karen's Birthday Blog Hop!! A few of us wanted to help her celebrate her big day & because I know she has a FAB card today she is part of her own hop (how funny is that?!)

For my card I inked up MFT's Lovin' From the Oven because Karen's Mom makes the most FANTASTIC chocolate birthday cake!  I am honoured to say I have had her Mom's cake & Karen has also made me this cake - it is SOOOO good that I think I will need to celebrate my b-day when I visit her in the fall {wink, wink}

The image is stamped with mementos ink and coloured with copics.  I paper pieced her apron and bowl with My Minds Eye Quite Contrary line (one of Karen's favs).  The flowers are a punch - funny story Karen bought one & was telling me so naturally I said I "had to have it" but I wanted to make sure I had the little flower for layering - SHOCKINGLY I owned both!!

This next card is from the WONDERFUL Leslie; who has fought this whole blog thing - but always stops  by to leave wonderful comments; I still think she should start a blog!!

She used Izzie has a prezzie & coloured the image with pencil & mineral spirits (she hasn't become addicted to copics yet either!)  She used a clear glaze pen on the ribbons on the prezzies & in Izzie's hair.

The next stop on the hop is the amazing JODI!!  Here is the master list of all the girls participating  & please make sure you stop by to wish Karen & very Happy Birthday!!

Have a great day

Beach Babe

Happy Saturday!  I am so excited my girlfriend is home from Halifax so we are having fresh seafood at her house tonight!  We did this last month when she was out there for work; oh it's so freakin good when it's fresh!

In honour of all thing beach & ocean for this weeks Sweet Stop Sketch Challenge (SSS60) I inked up one of my CC design stamps - Honey "bikini".  The image is stamped with mementos ink and coloured with copics.  I paper pieced her swimsuit which is from the basic grey's green at heart paper.  I paper pieced her sunglasses as well.  I used a clear glaze pen in the centre and went around the rims 2x with a black glaze pen to make them look like Raybans :)
I added some prima flowers and the ribbon is from SU.

Please stop by the Sweet Stop Blog to see all the other Sugar Babes creations & I hope you have a chance to play along with us this week!!

Have a great day

Twinkle Toes

I hope you are all having a great week; I must stay it seems strange not to have Bellariffic Fridays tomorrow; I am a little lost!

Today I played along with Mercy's sketch from this week (MTSC77).  I went through my bindah's to find the perfect image & stopped on Twinkle Toes Huggabugg - she was perfect!
The image is stamped on bella's bestest paper & coloured with copics.  For her antenna's I added some tiny green rhinestones & a little bit of glamour dust glimmer on her wings.

The ds paper is from basic greys kioshi line, the cs is su's celery, pale plum and perfect plum.  Because I wasn't using embellishments on the card I sewed around the edges

Don't forget you have until the week of June 2 to play along with the next Bellariffic Friday's challenge which is this fantastic sketch by Jodibella!  Email your cards to Em but Thursday June 24 to be included & remember you can with Bella Bucks!!

Thanks so much for stopping by & have a great day

Minty Mojo

When I saw this weeks MOJO 142 sketch I instantly knew I wanted to make a Christmas card since I am behind on getting them made!  I made 2 again this time which I think will pay off in the end.

I inked up one of my favourite Stamping Bella Christmas stamps - Minty Coffee onto bella's bestest paper.  I coloured the cup with pencils and gamsol - I so rarely use them!  The holly and leaves on the cup are coloured with copics and I added some red stickles for the holly.  On the steam I used some black micro fine glitter and on the candy cane I used a red atyou spica pen and a clear glaze pen to give it some shine.

The ds paper is from My Minds Eye's Merry Days of Christmas layered on baja breeze cs.  The snowflake border punch is from EK success.  I added a ghost snowflake and an olive bella bon bon.

Thanks for stopping by - have a fantastic day

Smells like Cake

Yeah it's Saturday and time for another Sweet Stop Sketch challenge!!  I've realized I don't have a lot of specifically birthday cards in my stash so this week I decided to make a birthday card.

For this weeks sketch (SSS59) I finally inked up one of my TCP stamp sets - Smells like Cake
The image is stamped with mementos ink and coloured with the image with copics.  The paper is all from a kit from Taylored Expressions called Petals & Paisley.  I used a turquoise atyou spica pen on the pom pom on the party hat & lemon atyou on the sparkles on the cupcake.  I sponged around the image with mementos cantaloupe ink
The punch is from Martha Stewart

Please stop the Sweet Stop Blog to see what the other Sugar Babies have created and I hope you can play along with us this week!

Thanks for stopping by & have a fantastic day!!

Sum, Sum, Summertime....

Happy Bellariffic Friday; this weeks theme was "Here Comes Summer".  I'm hoping it's summer at your house, here not so much!  They claim we will see the sun this weekend but it's still cool for this time of year; Jeaniebella says it's superhot at her house - maybe I need to go for a visit to warm up!!

I went with sweet miss AMPLEE 'tude because she is eating ice cream  and wearing a sun dress so it must be summer?! I used this weeks SCS sketch (SC283) and stamped AMPLEE 'tude  onto bella's bestest paper and coloured her with copics.  I paper pieced her dress and hairband with the ds paper from SEI called Claire.  I added some stardust stickles to make the ice cream sparkle and some buttons from my stash.

Make sure you stop by Bloggabella to see all the other Summer bellariffics!  We are taking the next 2 weeks off for vacation so you have lots of time to play along with this fantastic sketch.
Email Em your cards the week of June 25th to be included in our next Bellariffic!

Thanks for stopping by & have a fantastic day!!

Tree Swing

I love this image from MFT's Pure Innocence line.  The little boy reminds me of my brother (although they had a little more hair) swinging on the trees in the summer at our cabin.

I used this week Sweet Sunday Sketch (SSSC71) for my inspiration.  The image is stamped with memento's ink and coloured with copics.  I paper pieced his overalls and the leaves, which I only glued at the bottom so they lift off the paper.

The ds paper is from Pink Paislee's 365 degrees 6x6 pad layered on soft sky and pumpkin pie cs.  I paper pierced around the layers and added the silver buttons on his overalls by using a silver atyou spica pen.  I used a gold atyou spica along parts of the rope.

Hope you have a great Wednesday - thanks for stopping by

June Calender

For this month's calender page I picked an image from Stamping Bella that represented what so many think about this month - weddings and graduation.

Wedding gown circle is stamped with mementos ink and coloured with copics. I added some glamour glitter around the image to try and make it stand out. I thought about popping the bow up but on the calender it would be too thick - have to keep it simple!
