June SKFYTT

This month SKFYTT from Jen is sponsored by Stamping Bella & I knew I wanted to play along but as usual I am waiting until almost the last minute to get my card done - what the heck is that all about?!

For my card I inked up one of the sweet Pixies by Tiddly Inks from Stamping Bella.  Parker (that's my guess since she is the first in the picture) is stamped with mementos ink onto bella's bestest paper and coloured with copics.  For her hair I used a technique the wonderfully talented Lindabella showed me - multilayered dots.  I was a little unsure at first but when you keep adding the colours it works beautifully to fill in the space & she looks like she has curls!!

The ds paper is MME's Lime Twist - Life of the party.  I added some glitter around this sweet little pixie and added a bow and some stitching on my layers.

Remember you have until July 7 to send Em your card for the next Bellariffic Fridays which is to use ribbon on your card.

Thanks for stopping by & have a great day!!

Sweet Sunday 123

Happy Sunday I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend.  Karen has another great sketch for us (SSSC123) and I actually stuck to the sketch!!

It's been a long time since I inked up one of my TCP stamps so this week I went with Smells Like Cake.  The image is stamped with mementos ink and coloured with copics.  I added some glitter on the star and for the sparkles on the cupcake I used an atyou spica pen.  The ds paper is Jillibean Soup Watermelon Gazpacho.

Please stop by the rest of the Sweet Sunday Stampers blogs to see their creations, and if you play along with us this week remember to link you card on Karen's blog

It's Sketch Time

Happy Friday!!  This weeks Bellariffic Friday challenge was a sketch - and yes I did "flip" the sketch as I so LOVE to do!!  For my card I inked up me of Christy Croll's sweet Tiddly Ink images - Arthur from Arthur & Annie

Arthur is stamped with mementos ink onto bella's bestest paper and coloured with copics.  I then cut him out an mounted onto kraft paper (in honour of Jeaniebella who created this sketch).  The ds paper is MME's Lime Twist - Fly a Kite (I {heart} mme's papers!)  I stitched around my layers and that was my embellishment since it was a "masculine card"

Now next week we are taking off in honour of the long weekend in Canada (July 1) and the USA (July 4) so you have 2 weeks to play along with our next challenge (July 8)  Use Ribbon on your card (easy no?!)  Email your card to Em by Thursday July 7 to be included and you could win some bella bucks!

If you are missing all things bella next Friday hop over to Forumabella - Jessabella and the sistah's are starting a book club and will be chatting all things bella!!

Have a great weekend & thanks for stopping by

MFTWSC25 - Dream Big

When I saw this weeks sketch challenge (MFTWSC25) I knew I wanted to play along so instead of waiting and not getting back to it I made my card today.

When I was making this card I had a friend in mind who I will send it to (when the strike is over here) she has lot's going on at work & I think she has big things coming her way!  MFT's a la mode's Dream Big was the perfect image for her card.

The image is stamped with mementos ink and coloured with copics.  I added a little glitter to the moon and for her eye mask I used at atyou glitter pen.  The ds paper is MME's fine & dandy true blue.  I used 3 die-namics on  the front of  my card - DecorativeDoily Die; Star Border and  Staking Stars.  I decorated the inside of my card and used another die-namics set - sweet stacks labels

Thanks for stopping by & have a great day

Fluffy Sweet Sunday 122

Happy Sunday!  I hope everyone is having a great weekend.  Karen has a great sketch (SSSC122) for us this week; very clean and simple - so much so that I didn't even consider flipping the sketch!!

My card today is a little outside my "normal " box.  This week Em had a tutorial on her blog about Peerless Watercolours - hmmm I have those & never use them SOOO she inspired me to dig them out and try them out again.

I inked up Stamping Bella's Fluffy Flower Head with Statz on ink onto water colour paper and inked up my Peerless water colours.  I used 2 different colours, a pink and a yellow (sorry I didn't write down the colours)  I then cut out the flower and the centre of the flower I paper pieced on to give it some dimension.  I then added some glamour dust glitter to the inner circle of the flower.  I added some decorative flowers and stitched around the layers.

Please stop by the rest of the Sweet Sunday Stampers blogs to see their creations and remember if you play along with us this week link your card on Karen's blog.

Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your weekend!!!

Bring on Summer

Seriously some summer weather would be nice!!  Rain and cool no where near summer temps here so I have to imagine laying in the sun like Little Umbrella by Mo Manning from Stamping Bella!!

The image is stamped with memento ink onto bella's bestest paper and coloured with copics.  For the sand I used sand micro fine glitter.  Because there was so much bling from the sand I kept my card basic.  The ds paper is cosmo crickets mini deck salt air.

Don't forget to stop by Bloggabella to see the rest of the summer creations & leave a comment you could win some bella bucks!

Next weeks theme is this awesome sketch by Jeanie-bella (da Chicken)  Email your card to Em by Thursday to be included

Sweet Sunday 121

I hope everyone is having a great weekend!  Here is today's Sweet Sunday Sketch (SSSC121) from Karen

I must confess I thought long & hard about flipping this sketch, but I decided to try and stick with what Karen designed; who knows what will happen next week!!  I inked up on of Stamping Bella's LULU images - Ruby & Rose.

The image is stamped with memento ink onto bella's bestest cream paper and coloured with copics.  I added some black glitter to the polka dots on the one dress (let's call her Rose)  The flowers are paper pieced and the ds paper is Circa 1934.

Please stop by the rest of the Sweet Sunday Stampers blogs to see their creations, and remember to link you card on Karen's blog if you can play along with us this week.

Rainy Days

Happy Friday I hope you are having a good one - the image I picked for this weeks Bellariffic Fridays challenge is perfect for the weather we have been having:

I inked up Umbrella Peeps from May's release and stamped the image onto bella's bestest paper.  I paper pieced the umbrella and popped the centre up to make it more like a dome over the sweet little peep.  On the peep I coloured her coat with copics then used a clear glaze pen to may it like a rain coat.  For the buttons I used some tiny rhinestones.  The ds paper is Jillibean Soup - watermelon gazpaco.  The sentiment comes with the image

Don't forget to stop by the rest of the babes blogs to see their creations, and Bloggabella to see  all the creations.  Next weeks Bellariffic Fridays theme is "bring on summer" email your cards to Em by Friday to be included.

SK8R Boy

I hope you are all having a great week; mine has consisted of elevating my foot, icing my foot & going to physio for my foot - not too exciting but it is improving; hoping to get on the golf course in the next couple of weeks (if the weather ever improves here!!)

Today I have another boy card for you - I hardly ever make them and now it seems like I have been on a bit of a roll with them!  I inked up one of my Tiddly Inks stamps that has been neglected SK8R boy - this is a perfect image for our friends in Toronto's son; he is a skate boarder dude since hubby gave him his first skateboard years ago!

The image is stamped with memento ink onto bella's bestest cream paper and coloured with copics.  I used a clear glaze pen for the sun glass.  The DS paper is MME Stella & Rose Hattie and I stitched around the layers.

Just a reminder that this weeks Bellariffic Fridays challenge is Paper Piecing - email your  card to Em by Thursday to be included & you could win yourself some bella bucks!

Sweet Sunday Thank You

Yeah I was back from a mini vacation and able to play along with this weeks Sweet Sunday Sketch (SSSC120) Karen has another great sketch for us this week!

I didn't play along last week because we ended up with a last minute trip for hubby's work.  We went to Las Vegas to the UFC fight (my first one) then he had a conference with the folks from the UFC and I sat by the pool.  It was a great trip, except I managed to come home with a sprained ankle!  For my card this week I decided to make our thank you cards from the weekend.

Instead of circles I used octagon nesties because the UFC fights take place in an octagon (and I can honestly say I enjoyed the fights & could get hooked!)  I finally used some of my MFT die-namics - Say What die & stamp set for my Thanks.  The border along the bottoms is also an MFT die-namic - oval border chain.  The ds paper is from my old stash of SU riding hood red, the colours were picked based on the UFC colours on their website.

Please stop by the rest of the Sweet Sunday Stampers blogs to see their creations and remember to link your card to Karen's blog if you play along

So when we were with the folks from the UFC I was able to meet Dana White (I know too funny)

Golf Anyone?!

This weeks Bellariffic Fridays theme was to make a masculine card in honour of Father's Day this month.  For my card I inked up a Mo Manning image -  the Big Guy Golfing

The image is stamped with memento ink onto bella's bestest paper and coloured with copics.  For the grass I used pencils (kelp & grass green) and I added some shading around him.  Being a masculine card I kept the embellishments to a limit - liquid applique for the golf ball and a clear glaze pen for the golf club and finally some stitching around the layers.

Next weeks Bellariffic's Fridays theme is Paper Piecing (one of my very favourite things!!)  Email your cards to Em by Thursday to be included in the round up.

Have a great weekend!!
