Sweet Sunday Sketch 271

Happy Sunday I hope everyone is having a fabulous weekend!

For my card today I "tweaked" the sketch a bit to work with the sentiment I wanted to use.  My niece is graduating from High School and I thought the sentiment was perfect.  The sentiment is from Impression Obsessions

I wanted to use fun girly paper but I decided I should incorporate some of the school colours (blue and white).  The DP is lawn fawns pint size beachside.

Please stop by the Sweet Sunday Sketch blog to see the rest of the Sweet Sunday Stampers creations and remember to link your card on the blog if you play along this week

Sneak Peek when Anything Goes

Em was suppose to be on a family vacation to Israel over the next 2 weeks, but her plans changed so we decided to keep Bellariffic Fridays going this week and next with "anything goes" theme.

Really her vacation cancellation is perfect for the rest of us because that's means we have a release June 1! This is a crazy amazing release and I'm excited to share with you another one of the new Close Up image - "in love"

The image is on bella's bestest card stock and coloured with copics.  I have to say since I bought Sandy Allnock's Hex Chart I have a new love for my copics.  I mean I'm using colours I never used before because I now see how they work together - this was worth every penny (all 5.99!!)  She even did a tutorial on Blogabella this week here's the link

Please stop by Blogabella to see the rest of the babes and sistah's anything goes cards AND keep an eye open for the release on Monday I know my shopping cart will be full!!

Next weeks theme is ANYTHING GOES again so just use a current Stamping Bella image and email your creation to Em by Thursday

Stamping Bella Sneak Peek!!

I'm SOOOOO excited to share with you today a sneak peek of an image from Stamping Bella's soon to be released (June !!!!) Tiny Townies.

Tiny Townie Sally and her snail is on bella's bestest card stock and coloured with copics.  I kept the card very simple because I wanted the focus to be on the image and the amazing sentiment that comes with her.

Em has peeks all week on Blogabella AND I've seen the ENTIRE release and I honestly believe this is one of her best ones EVEH!!  And you know I've been around since the beginning.  Em just has such an amazing way of capturing the right images via her artists with the perfect sentiments.

I'll be back Wed and Friday with 2 more Peeks

Sweet Sunday Sketch 270

Happy Sunday today's Sweet Sunday Sketch (SSSC270) had me stumped - Karen likes to do that to me - throw curves....

For my card I used a sentiment from Riley & Co Funny Bones line.  The image is stamped with Hero Arts Ombre ink then cut with MFT circles pierced die-namic.  The DP is Basic Greys indie bloom.  I free cut the "curve" since I don't have a die - yep that was the challenge making it look somewhat straight!!

Make A Wish

Today's Bellariffic Friday challenge was a sketch.  For my card I used one of Stamping Bella's sweet Hoppy Poppy images.

Make a Wish Hoppy Poppy is stamped with memento tuxedo black ink onto bella's bestest white card stock and coloured with pencils blended with mineral spirits.  The DP is Lawn Fawn pint size Beachside.  I added some sparkle to the candles with a wink of stella pen and on her polka dots with an orange spica pen.

I kept the colour theme on the inside of the card

As you know from Blogabella we are having a release - are you loving the sneak peeks that started this week?!  We've decided to keep the challenges easy over the next 2 weeks so we hope that everyone will play along.  Next weeks challenge is....ANYTHING GOES.  Just use a current stamping bella image and email your card to Em by Thursday

Colourful Days...

Happy Friday and Happy Long Weekend to all the Canadian sistahs!!  This weeks challenge was "one layer wonder" - yep a total challenge for me!

For my card I used Uptown Girl Abigail the Artist.  The image is stamped on bella's bestest white card stock and coloured with copics.  I added some shading using pencils blended with mineral spirits.  To add the look of a border I sponged the edges with picked raspberry distress ink.  Now I didn't count my card base as layer....

I did the same layer on the inside of the card for the sentiment

Please stop by Blogabella to see the rest of the babes and sistahs creations.  To play along next week simply make a card using a current stamping bella image and email your card to Em by Thursday.

LuLu

We have a new babe on the team and I'm so excited I've been a HUGE fan of her work since I started this whole blogging thing - Michele Boyer is our newest babe!

Today's Bellariffic Fridays challenge was a colour challenge AND all the babes are using May's Stamp of the Month LULU loves Poppies which is on sale 20% off for the month of May!!

I have to admit I coloured the image once, then remembered the colour challenge so I had to do a redo!

Lulu loves Poppies is stamped on mixed media paper with staz on and coloured with a mixture of water colour pencils, distress inks and tombow markers.  I shaded around the image with antique linen distress ink.  The DP is Websters pages  Postcard from Paris.

Please stop by Blogabella to see the rest of the babes and sistah's creations.  If you want to play along with next weeks challenge just use a current stamping bella image and email your card to Em by Thursday to be included on Blogabella.

Next weeks challenge is a sketch
