FINALLY!!!!

I was able to make a card- it takes WAY LONGER then it should because I have to take lots of breaks BUT at least I made one!!

This is my card for today's Bellariffic Friday, the sketch is from Linda - I have to say I am rusty so I had to think long & hard about what image to use! I chose Turtle Tots Bathtime as my image and coloured him with copics. I paper pieced the bathtub and all the DS with paper from basic greys porcelain collection. I added some diamond ice bella baubles along the ribbon & used glamour dust glitter on the bubbles and some clear glaze on the bathtub.

The pink bathtub reminds me of the house we rented when we lived in Montreal, the entire master bathroom was pink, including the tiny mosaic tiles that were on the floor, walls & ceiling!!

Don't forget Em is offering FREE SHIPPING until August 5th on all orders over $50.00, and with the release yesterday that's easy to do! Just remember to use the code "julyfs" when you checkout

No Bellariffic today 'cuz I'm not feelin' Terrific....

I must apologize, I am a great procrastinator so I don't usually make my Bellariffic Friday card until Wed afternoon or Thursday morning then I send it over to Em BUT on Wed I was in a car accident (someone smacked into me) so I haven't been able to stamp or do much but ice my aches and relax (which is hard because stamping is my relaxation!) I am also crushed because my baby (car) is crushed and appears to be in worse shape then me.

I am hoping I can slowly put some cards together but I must confess the posts will be very sporadic for awhile

Make sure you pop by Bloggabella to see all the amazing creations & have a fantastic weekend

Rain Rain Go AWAY!!!!!

So when I sat down Monday afternoon to make a card it was pouring and thundering and cold (seriously it does not feel like mid-July here!) I came across Rainy Days Elzybells & decided she would be perfect considering we are suppose to get even more rain Monday night & all day Tuesday

I used this weeks Mojo Monday sketch as my starting point. Rainy days Elzybells is stamped with mementos ink and coloured mainly with Lyra Pencils and mineral spirits, I did use copics for the flesh tones. (E000, E00, E02, R02)

The DS and blue paper is all from a Taylored Expressions Key Ingredients, as is the rhinestone flower. I also used SU's Pumpkin pie paper and ribbon. I used Taylors Tiny Twinkles for the buttons on her coat. I added a tiny twinkle to the center of the rhinestone flower and it doesn't show in the picture but I added some crystal effects to the puddles.

Thanks for stopping by, I am hoping by tomorrow we will start to dry out a little bit!!

Have a great day

Don't ya feel like dancing...

I love this image of Miss S-T-E-L-L-A and have been waiting to ink her up - when I saw Amy R's sketch this weekend I figured she would be perfect

Stellarina is stamped with mementos ink and coloured her with copics, I added some mirco fine glitter along her tu-tu and on her crown & wand. The cb is ivory cs layered with pink pirouette. The ds paper is from October Afternoon's Ducks in a Row line called little piggy's. I added some pink ribbon.

The sentiment is from Stamping Bella, words we should all live by, but I know I don't - heck I can't go to the gym without my trainer because I don't want people "watching me" even though I know no one would be...

Don't forget Em will be posting this weeks Bellariffic Friday challenge today may sure you stop by Bloggabella to see what it is, remember if you play along you can win bellabucks!

Thanks for stopping by - managed to get all 18 holes in yesterday with no rain or thunderstorms it was a great day!!

Flopsey for Kate

My friend Kate isn't into the "cutesy" stamps but she is starting to like Flopsey from MFT so when I picked up Flopsey's Flowers from Scrapbookers Paradise North the other week I told her I would change her mind - he's just so darn cute!

I used my June Key Ingredients from Taylored Expressions for the paper. Flopsey is stamped on Gina K's pure luxury paper with memento ink and coloured with copics. I paper pieced Flopsey's flowers and added some siren smooch (and smudged it) to the centre of the flowers, I then added some pink Taylor's tiny twinkles.
For the flowers, the two dark pink flowers are from the key ingredients kit, but the light pink on is a white one which I coloured with copics. I then used Glimmer Mist (pearl) on the flowers - yes Kate I used Glimmer mist you will convert me yet!!

Hope you are having a great weekend, mine has been fun for my anniversary I went to a movie & dinner with a friend - we saw The Hangover; it's so funny!! Today I am golfing with friends & the sun is suppose to shine all day FINALLY!!

Thanks for stopping by

Lovey Bellariffic

Happy Bellariffic Friday :) This week it was a sketch from fellow babe Jen I chose "head over heels" huggabugg for my card because I needed to make an anniversary card for my hubby, now anyone who knows us will laugh because this is so not us!! The card is in his suitcase because he leaves today for business & a little relax with friends over the weekend. When we got married he picked 7-11 because he never travelled & would never forget the date; now I can say he has travelled for more then not & has forgotten the date (gotta love him!!)

Head over Heels Huggabugg is stamped with momento's ink and coloured with copics. I didn't want glitter in his suitcase (could you imagine?!) so I used liquid glitter on the wings & my atyou spica pen to add some shine to the hearts.

The hearts on the melon mambo is from a sizzix embossing plate and the ds paper is from Heidi Grace & it's called Lovebug. I know really head over heels and love bug for us?!?! I know way back when I did fall head over heels (awwww.....)

Thanks for stopping by and have yourself a great day - make sure you stop by Bloggabella to see all the other amazing cards this week

The Perfect Sentiment...

When I was making this card I found the perfect sentiment "merry & bright" because that is exactly what this Christmas card is BRIGHT!!

I used this weeks Mojo sketch for my inspiration (mojo94). The stamp is from Stamping Bella, cupcake with holly on top which is stamped with mementos ink and coloured with copics. The DS paper is from Fancy Pants called Wonderland.

The cb is real red layered with some of the wonderland ds paper, then layered with a strip of melon mambo which is embossed with cuttlebugs snowflakes. The image and ds paper are layered onto melon mambo. I added some crystal effects to the holly and used a gelly roll pen on the flourishes on the cupcake base

The sentiment is from Stamping Bella, it's a long sentiment so there was a lot of masking to try and get it in the circle!

Don't forget you have until 5pm EST Thurs to send Em your Bellariffic Friday cards click here for details

Can You Believe...

I forgot to make & send a card to my in-laws for their anniversary?! I know me not getting a card made in time it's unheard of right?!?!

For my card I decided I wanted to try some flower soft (sweet pea) and I must say it worked beautifully withe the image, but I do need some practice!! I stamped Stamping Bella's solid flowery weeds with old olive then added some flower soft along the flowers of the image. I then added some micro fine glitter along the stems to give it some bling because I wanted to keep the card very simple so the flowery weed was the focus.

The DS paper is from basic grey, but it was in my scraps so I am not sure what line. The cb is rose red layered with old olive. The sentiment is also from Stamping Bella

Don't forget you have until 5pm EST Thursday to email Em your Bellariffic Friday card, it's a sketch again this week, click here for all the details & remember you can win bella bucks!

I'm a Little Bit Country...

Really I'm a lot Rock n Roll BUT it's Stampede Time in Calgary so everyone becomes a little bit country! In honour of the Calgary Stampede & our going to the Chuck wagon races last night I finally made a card with Howdy from MFT WTG that I borrowed Wendy forever ago (girlfriend when are we getting together for some vino?!)

For my card I used Jen's SKFYTT from yesterday and I used my Taylored Expressions key ingredients kit from May for the base, patterned paper and vanilla cs; the image is mounted on baja breeze and I used a piece of baja breeze on the card.

WTG is coloured with copics and I added some red hemp for the rope and popped up her arm. I was out at a bar Thursday night pre stampeding and noticed people have some pretty flashy boots (I've lived here 3 times and still don't have cowboy boots!) so I added some stickles to her boots. I added some ghost stars and hero art rhinestones

Thanks for stopping by & have a great day -

Posies for Bellariffic

Happy Friday!! I am so excited because not only is it Bellariffic Fridays but I am driving up to spend the afternoon with my girlfriend & her sweet baby boy - I love kids (especially because I give them back & come home to my quiet house!!)

Today's Bellariffic is a sketch by Linda - if you haven't been to her blog she will blow you away with her colouring! I chose Tiny Tots Picking Posies for my card. The image is coloured with copics and I added some stickles to the centres of my flowers.

The cb is chocolate chip layered with a piece of old olive which I embossed with sizzix flowers. The sentiment comes with stamp (love that) and the ds paper came from stamping bella, but I must confess the name was cut off the piece when I looked - Sorry!! I added some old olive bonbons in the corner

Make sure you stop by Bloggabella to see all the other cards and remember to leave a comment - you could win Bella bucks

Have a great day

OPPS...

I missed last weeks Christmas card - I know you would think it would be easy to make 1 a week but for me not so much! This week I was determined to get my card made - I couldn't fail 2 weeks in a row!

For my card I used a new stamp from Sunshine Designs that I picked up last week at Paper Pastimes. The image is coloured with lyras & mineral spirits and his earmuffs are coloured with copics then I added orange smooch and red stickles.
The sentiment is from Stamping Bella and I embossed the pumpkin paper with snowflakes embossing folder from cuttlebugs.

Thanks for stopping by and don't forget it's Bellariffic Friday tomorrow!
