Lulu's Snowman

As I write this post the rain is now turning into snow, and it's thundering out - how strange & how fitting that I inked up Stamping Bella's Lulu's Snowman

I played along with Jen's Deconstructed sketch from Thursday (73) It's been a long time since I've played along, and I only slightly tweaked the sketch; I made my card square to work with the larger image.

Lulu's Snowman is stamped on bella's bestest white cs and coloured with copics.  The shading on the image is done with pencils and gamsol.  The snowflakes are done with enamel essentials, the fur on the hats are done with liquid appliqué and glitter.  Here's a tip I learnt - don't put the enamel on before the liquid appliqué.  When I heated the liquid appliqué the enamel kind of popped so I had to re-due the enamel dots.  The shading around the image is done with Tim Holtz distress ink in evergreen bough.

The ds paper is an old one in my stash of 6x6 pads - Crate Papers Snow Day.  For the background banner I used MFT's Fishtail flags Stax and I finished off the card with some pearls. I carried the fishtail  flag stax onto the inside.

Hi

I needed a card to put in a package for a little boy and when I saw this weeks MFTWSC93 I was totally inspired

I used MFT's die-namics by the letters.  The ds paper is Bazzill Basic Paper Dino-Mite.  For the banner behind I used MFT's Fishtail Flags Stax die-namics.  I added two orange buttons in the top corner.

Thanks so much for stopping by

A Halloween Twist

HMMM I had my post all set to go BUT forgot to schedule it for Friday so here's my Bellariffic Friday card a wee bit late

This weeks Bellariffic Fridays challenge was to make either a Halloween card or a cards using Halloween colours - I chose to go with Halloween colours.  The dp that I used to inspire my card is EP's Chillingsworth Manor.

I stamped Uptown Girls Victoria & Juliette's night out with versafine black ink onto watercolour paper then embossed the image with black embossing powder.  I coloured the image with distress markers then paper pieced the dresses with the dp.  I shaded around the image with spiced marmalade distress ink.  The flower is MFT's Upsy Daisy Die-namics.

On the inside of the card I shaded cream cs with spiced marmalade distress ink and stamped the sentiment that comes with the set.  I used MFT's Fishtail Flags Stax die-namics.

Please stop by the rest of the Babes blogs to see their creations and Bloggabella to see what the sistah's created.  Next weeks theme is a sketch -

Ramona Loves Cake

It's time for another Sweet Sunday Sketch from Karen (SSSC169)

You will notice that I turned the sketch upside down this week to work with Ramona Loves Cake from Stamping Bella.  I stamped Ramona onto watercolour paper with versafine ink then embossed the image with black embossing powder.  I coloured the image with distress markers.  I shaded around the image with spun sugar distress ink.  The ds paper is American Crafts Neopolitan which I used to paper piece her jacket.  For the sparkles on the cake I used orange stickles.

On the inside of my card I used MFT's Fishtail Flag Stax die-namic and kept the theme from the sketch on the front of the card.

Please stop by the rest of the Sweet Sunday Stampers and this weeks guest stamper's blogs to see their creations.  If you play along with us remember to link your card to Karen's blog for a chance to be a Sweet Sunday Guest Stamper.

I hope all the Canadian Stampers out there enjoy the Thanksgiving Weekend!

I decorated the inside of the card for the sentiment.  I used MFT's Fishtail Flags Stax die-namics; these really are a favourite of mine especially on the inside of my cards.

Stop Thief.....

I'm happy to be back stamping although hubby & I had a fabulous trip to Vienna and Paris in September (part of the reason there were so few posts) but now I'm back to stamping, which is perfect because after the release from Stamping Bella I can hardly wait to get the new rubbah!!

Today I'm sharing a Mo Manning image that's available from Stamping Bella - Cupcake Thief.

The image is stamped with memento tuxedo black ink onto bella's bestest cream cs and coloured with copics, pencils and gamsol.  The stars on the cupcakes are paper pieced and on the middle cupcake I used crystal stickles for the sprinkles.  On her wings I used a gelly roll pen.  The banner is done with MFT's fishtail flag stax die-namics (can you tell they are one of my favourites!) For the shading around the image I used antique linen distress ink. The ds paper is EP's This & That.
