New Rubbah in Da House

I hope everyone had a great weekend - mine was good because my new rubbah from Stamping Bella arrived Friday afternoon!!

I decided to ink up Little Birdie Jane first (and funny enough so did Paulineabella!!).

I stamped the image onto bella's bestest cream paper with mementos tuxedo black ink and coloured her with copics.  The shading around the image and on the ground is done with pencils.  Now when I saw this new image I imagined her dress paper pieced so I had to do it! The dp is Lilybeedesigns Happily Lost.  The sentiment comes with the stamp.  I added some rhinestones along the ribbon.

You still have time to play along with this weeks Bellariffic Friday - Love/Valentines or use pink, red and white on your card.  Email your card to Em by Thursday to be included in Bellariffic Fridays on Bloggabella and had a chance to win bella bucks. You can add your card on SCS using the key word BELLARIFFIC0412 and you can win a 20.00 gift voucher!!

Snowboard Boy

Happy Sunday we're back today with a Sweet Sunday Sketch (SSSC151).  Karen has  a great sketch for us & I stuck pretty true to the sketch (weird right?!)

For my card I inked up MFT's PI Snowboard Boy

The image is stamped with memento tuxedo  black ink coloured with copics and paper pieced with MME's Lime Twist Out of the Blue.  I did some soft blue shading around the image with pencils and gamsol and added some glitter for snow.  Instead of a banner I used MFT's die-namics Icicle Border and added a ghost snowflake and button.  On the snowboard I used a clear glaze pen to give it some shine.

Please stop by the rest of the Sweet Sunday Stampers blogs to see their creations and remember you have 2 weeks to link your card on Karen's blog.

Thanks for stopping by & have a great day

Bellariffic Sketch 2

Happy Bellariffic Friday - this is the second sketch of the year; again a big shout out and thank you to Ebruabella for creating all the amazing sketches this year.  I honestly don't know what has gotten into me; I pretty much stuck to the sketch again this week!!

For my card this week I inked up a stamp I don't think I've used yet (shocking I know!!) Abby.

The image is stamped with memento tuxedo black ink onto bella's bestest white paper and coloured with copics then shaded with pencils.  For the cupcake icing I again used brown liquid applique and cinnamon micro fine glitter and a red rhinestone for the cherry on top.  I paper pieced her hat and the balloons from the dp paper MMEs Everyday Flair.

Please stop by Bloggabella to see the rest of the creations by the babes and sistahs.  Remember to link your card on SCS key word BELLARIFFIC0312 and you have a chance to win a $20.00 gift voucher from Stamping Bella.

Roses Among Us

Today I have a card I made using on of Stamping Bella's solid images - A Rose Among Us

The images is coloured with markers (real red, cameo coral,  celery & always artichoke) then sprayed with water, then stamped on water colour paper.  Once the image dried I added a little bit of glitter to the centre of the flowers.  I kept the card clean and simple since it was needed as a sympathy card.

This weeks Bellariffic Fridays theme is another sketch!!  Email your cards to Em by Thursday to be included on Bloggabella and remember to add your card to the gallery on SCS to have another chance of winning a gift voucher

Thanks for stopping by & have a great day

Birthday Girl

Happy Sunday - I must admit I am a little bit of a loss not having the Sweet Sunday Sketch to play along with each week so instead I played along with this weeks MFTWSC55

For my card I inked up MFT's a la mode Birthday Girl.  The image is stamped with memento tuxedo black ink onto bella's bestest cream paper and coloured with copics.  I paper pieced the cupcake wrap with the dp paper MME's Quite Contrary Jack & Jill.  For the cupcake icing I used brown liquid applique and added some cinnamon micro fine glitter.  For her jewels I used a clear atyou spica pen.  For the flower I used die-namics Pretty Posies.  For the centre of the flower I added some black micro fine glitter.  The shading around the image is done withe pencils and gamsol.

Thanks for stopping by & have a great day

A Hard Challenge....

Ok when we came up with the challenges for the year I honestly don't know who suggested this one because it was too hard!!  I can honestly say I don't have a "favourite" Stamping Bella image.  I then thought about my favourite "line" and could get it narrowed down to a couple.  I was chatting with Cathabella to see what she did; she went with favourite "boy" image. HMMM what to do....

Well I decided to ink up one of the wonderful Uptown Girls (did you see the new ones?!  LOVE!!) Now choosing the image was easy because it's been so cold here that Quinn in her boots  just jumped out at me.

The image is stamped with memento tuxedo black ink onto bella's bestest cream paper and coloured with copics.  I added a little shading with pencils.  Around the image I shaded by sponging some versa magic ink in Aspen Mist and Wheat.  I added some tiny rhinestone to her jackets and boots.  For the snow I used liquid applique and glitter.  To finish it off I added a ghost snowflake, button and ribbon.  The ds paper is MME's A Beautiful Life.

Please stop by Bloggabella to see the rest of the babes creations and what the sistah's sent in.  Remember to also link your card on SCS (BELLARIFFIC0212)

Next week our challenge is another Fabulous sketch by Ebruabella.  Email your cards to Em by Thursday to be included next Friday & don't forget to add your card to SCS

It's Release Day and another Peek....

It's release day over at Stamping Bella today and I get to introduce you to Millie and Milo Acting as Royalty

Are they not the cutest?!  This set is awesome because it comes with 2 other sentiments - "King for a Day" and "Queen for a Day".  The image is stamped onto bella's bestest cream paper and coloured with copics.  I paper pieced their crowns and paper pieced Millie's dress with MME's Lost & Found Union Station.  On Milo's coat I used sparkly fluff and glitter.  I used various sizes and colours of rhinestones on their crowns.  For the shading around the image I used pencils and gamsol.

Make sure you stop by Bloggabella today to see the release - I do believe my shopping cart will be very full today!!!

Don't forget you still have time to play along with Bellariffic Fridays; this weeks challenge is to ink up your favourite image.  Email your card to Em by Thursday and remember to add your card to the SCS gallery

Sneak Peek....

Happy Monday!!!  Today some of the babes have sneak peeks of Tuesdays release from Stamping Bella!!!

OMG too funny when Em sent me my image she said - "I see the chair paper pieced" Well ask and you shall receive!!  Here is one of the new Uptown Girls - Perry on her Laptop!!

The image is on bella's bestest cream paper and coloured with copics.  The chair is paper pieced with MME's Vanity Fair.  I then paper pieced Perry onto the chair.  For her glasses I used a clear glaze pen.  To give the laptop pear (how brilliant is that?!) I added both a green and yellow atyou spica.  The shading under the chair and around her feet is done with pencils and gamsol.  The sentiment comes with the image.

Make sure you pop by Bloggabella to see some sneak peeks and remember the release is tomorrow!! All the samples will be on SCS sometime today; just look for the gallery SBJANRELEASE

Sweet Sunday 150

I must confess I miss Karen's sketches every week and was finishing this one off last night because I forgot it was a Sweet Sunday week - I see this happening a lot in my future!!  Here is her fabulous sketch for this week (SSSC150)

For my card I pulled out one of Stamping Bella's  the Pixies.

I love that this is a set of 4.  The image is stamped with memento tuxedo black ink onto bella's bestest paper and coloured with copics.  I used a little crystal stickles on the wings and on the polka dots on the dress I used a pitch black atyou spica pen.  For the star on the wand I used coloured it with copics then used an gelly roll pen for the glitter.  I shaded around the image with pencils and gamsol.  The ds paper is MME's Quite contrary Jack & Jill 6x6 pad.

Please stop by the rest of the Sweet Sunday Stampers blogs to see their creations & if you play along (you now have 2 weeks) remember to link your card on Karen's blogs

Feeling Fluey?!

Happy Sunday - I'm happy to report that my voice came back Fridays evening and I'm feeling much better; not sure if hubby misses the silence or not!

Maybe it's because I'd been sick or that Em is sick but when I saw this months SKFYTT from Jen I immediately pulled out my Huggabuggs from Stamping Bella and was drawn to fluey huggabugg.

The image is stamped on bella's bestest cream paper and coloured with copics.  Now my hot water bottle in red, but fluey's is more of a rust colour.  I also went with bare feet because I hate socks & would have bare feet if I was sick!!  I shaded around the image using pencils and gamsol.  I added some glitter to the wings, used red stickles for the thermometer and tiny clear rhinestones on the antennas.  The ds paper is MME's Darling Dear.  I embossed the base chocolate chip cs with cuttlebugs swiss dot folder.

You still have time to play along with this weeks Bellariffic Friday; our first one of 2012!  Just email your card to Em (emily@stampingbella.com) by Thursday to be included on Friday and have a chance at some bella bucks. I hope you are all having a great week - I'm still voiceless I think hubby has been enjoying the silence!!

I have a birthday card to share with you today - I'm trying to take a cue from Cathabella and get a stash of birthday cards so I'm not always late in sending (or don't send at all).

I inked up one of Stamping Bella's Chichiboulie Fairies .  Patricia Birthdaycake is stamped with  memento tuxedo black ink onto bella's bestest cream paper and coloured with copics.  I did add a little shading with pencils.  On her wings I added some glitter.  Around the image I shaded with pencils and versa magic wheat.  The ds paper is MME's A Beautiful Life.

Finally

I made it into my stamp room today!!  We hosted New Years Eve & I was fighting laryngitis so yesterday it hit full force & I was literally on the couch all day watching a marathon of Storage Wars which I'm now totally addicted to!  Today we de-Christmasfied and after that I was in my room watching hockey & trying to find my mojo.

On SCS today I noticed that the MFTGUESTDT challenge for this month was paper piecing - seriously how was I going to pass that up?!

I inked up one of my new stamps MFT a la mode's Hot Cocoa Cutie.  I stamped the image with memento tuxedo black ink and coloured her face and hair.  I stamped the image a second time and coloured her hands and boots.  On the boots I then used some black flocking.  Her pants are paper pieced with riding hood red cs, the mug is paper pieced with a piece of MME's Be Merry, as is her sweater.  For the marshmallow's I used some white liquid applique and let it dry.

I then cut out the image and paper pieced it onto MFT's Tag You're It die-namic and layered the olive piece on a piece of riding hood red cs.  For the riding hood red piece I traced the Tag You're It die and cut it out.  For the sentiment I used a ribbon die from MFT's First Place Aware Ribbon die-namic.  I just realized I forgot to trim the paper under her arm - whoops!!  Originally I was leaving it on the cream cs but changed my mind.

Thanks for stopping by - off to rest up so I can cheer for Canada at the World Junior Hockey Championship that's being played here this week!!

Have a great day

A New Year....

FOR MY SSSC149 POST PLEASE SCROLL DOWN

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!  I wish you and your family the very best in 2012

A new year brings a new calendar and every year when I ponder making one I think about how much my Mom loves her desk calendar & I know I will be making her one.  This year I went with a theme - all MFT Pure Innocence girls.  For my January I used Pure Innocence Carnation The calendar is from Taylored Expressions; it's the 6x6 calendar shrunk down (total calendar page size is 5x5)

I hope you have a wonderful day - we hosted a dinner for New Year's Eve so my plan for the first day of the New Year is to lay on my couch!!!

Thanks so much for stopping by & have a great day

Skating Through SSSC149

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!  Karen has a new sketch for the New Year - SSSC 149.

This weeks SSSC is sponsored by Sparkle Creations and Sparkle is giving one lucky participant 2 of her sweet stamps - Charlotte with a Rose and Scooter Chloe.  You can enter as many times as you like just by linking your card on Karen's blog.

For my card I used Sparkle Creations Ice Skating Chloe.

Now I flipped the sketch - why you wonder because I didn't want to start the year off NOT doing my usual trick ;)  Actually when I was laying it together I just started putting it this way; it's become automatic for me!!  Skating Chloe is coloured with copics and paper pieced onto the nesties circle.  On the white circle I used Distress ink in evergreen bough and added some glitter for snow.  The ds paper is Echo Parks Winter Park.

Please stop by the rest of the Sweet Sunday Stampers blogs to see their creations and remember to link your card on Karen's blog if you play along & you could win!!

This year the Sweet Sunday Sketch will be every 2 weeks so the next one will be on January 15.

Thanks for stopping by & Happy New Year!!
