Sweet Sunday Pixie

Happy Sunday - it's a long weekend here so hubby & I are golfing, biking and enjoying the nice weather!  Karen (SSSC128) has another great sketch for us this week; although I was whining when I first saw it....
angled panels are not my favourite thing!!  HOWEVER I stuck to the sketch this week; no flipping!!

I inked up one of Christy Croll's sweet Pixies from Stamping Bella - Patsy Pixie.  The image is stamped with mementos tuxedo black ink onto bella's bestest paper and coloured with copics.  I used some pencils and gamsol for the grass and added some glitter to the image.  The ds paper is MME's Lime Twist - Life of the party.  I use a die-namics flower in the corner

Please stop by and see the rest of the Sweet Sunday Stampers creations & if you can play along this week with us remember to link your card on Karen's blog!

I even managed to squeeze in playing along with Jen's SKFYTT for July.  The image is stamped with mementos tuxedo black ink onto bella's bestest paper and coloured with copics.  The ds paper is from echo park - everybody loves Christmas.  I added some snowflakes in the corner, but forgot to round the corners - at least I stuck to the sketch!

Circle or a Square????

This weeks Bellariffic Fridays theme was a sketch & you had the choice of making a circle card or a square card with it; you know I went with the square card!!!

I actually got a jump on next weeks theme with my card this week!  I inked up one of Stamping  Bella's Holiday stamps - minty coffee.  The image is stamped with mementos tuxedo black into onto bella's bestest paper and coloured with copics.  I paper pieced the holly and leaves on the mug.  For the steam I used a black atyou spica pen and on the candy cane I used a red atyou spica pen and a clear glaze pen.

Please stop by Bloggabella to see the rest of the babes creations & what the sistah's sent in.  If you leave a comment you could win some bella bucks!

Yes, next weeks theme is Christmas in July - email your cards to Em by Thursday to be included next week

Enjoy the Ride

I wanted to make a Thank you card for one of the guys who works with hubby - he ordered us new bikes and had them put together for us.  I am not a bike rider, did not grow up riding a bike (it was always uphill in my hometown) BUT Hubby likes it so we are giving it a whirl this year & so far I've really enjoyed myself!  So MFT had the perfect stamp for me!

I ordered the June VIP kit and it included MFT's WTG - Enjoy the Ride.  I stamped her with mementos ink and coloured her with copics.  I paper pieced her top from the ds paper which also came in the kit - Lilybee designs Happily Lost; how perfect is that paper?!  I used the new die-namic that also came with the kit - simply scallops large (sweet!!!) and added some ribbon.  The sentiment is from MFT's clearly sentimental line - Thanks a Bunch.

Thanks so much for stopping by - I hope I can be as graceful on my bike at the WTG is!!

Sweet Sunday Wedding Wishes

It's Sunday so that means another Sweet Sunday Sketch for us!! (SSSC126)  Here is Karen's sketch for this week.

This weekend my oldest nephew got married!  It was a 2 day event & a wonderful family reunion for all of us BUT I must say it makes me feel OLD that he is married!!  I used this weeks sketch for my wedding card; however instead of a square for the image I used a rectangle BUT I didn't flip the sketch.  Really one day I will shock everyone and stick exactly to the sketch (maybe...)

I inked up Stamping Bella's Lulu's Wedding cake with mementos tuxedo black ink and coloured the image with copics.  My colour inspiration came from the wedding invitation (turquoise and gold).  I added some glitter to the centre of the flowers and for the one layer of icing I used liquid applique and added some glitter then just naturally let it dry.  For the beads on the cake I used a gold atyou spica pen.  The ds paper is MME Stella & Rose and I ran the strip through a cuttlebug embossing folder.  Added a die namics scallop, some ribbon and 3 rhinestones that I coloured to match.

Please stop by the rest of the Sweet Sunday Sketchers blogs to see their creations and if you play along this week please remember to link your card on Karen's blog.

Bella or Stella?!

It's Friday so it's time for Bellariffic Friday - this weeks theme was to use either Stella or Bella - I chose a Bella - Gossipabella

The image is stamped with mementos ink onto bella's bestest paper and coloured with copics.  I paper pieced her top and skirt with the ds paper - Lilybee designs Happily Lost.  I used a clear glaze pen on the telephone and a pink atyou spica pen on her hair band.

I decorated the inside of my card for a change and added the sentiment that is included with the stamp.

Please stop by Bloggabella to see the rest of the babes creations and what the sistah's have sent in - leave a comment and you can win some bella bucks!

Next weeks Bellariffic Fridays theme is a sketch - circle or square you choose!!  Email your card to Em by Thursday to be included next week and you can win some bella bucks!!

Get Well My Friend...

My wonderful friend Leslie is a little laid up these days so I wanted to send her a card to let her know I'm thinking of her & I hope she's up and slowly getting around!!  I used this weeks MFTWSC27 as my inspiration and a sweet PI.

I inked up MFT's PI Girl  - Better get Better and coloured her with copics.  I paper pieced the bandages on the bear and made them out of the ds paper; can't have boring bandages!!  I flipped the sketch and then switched where the rhinestones were to make it work with the Say What? Die-namic.  I used another die-namic Simply Scallops Medium along the middle panel.  Again I meant to sew, again I stuck it down too fast.  I added some ribbon that I picked up at a LSS near me.

Thanks for stopping by & Leslie I wish you a speedy recovery

Sweet Anniversary Wishes

It's Sunday so that's means Karen has another great sketch for us (SSSC125)!!

For my card today I made hubby's anniversary card; it's our anniversary tomorrow, but he's on a plane today so I tucked it into his briefcase (as usual!!)  I joke every year that maybe next year we'll be in the same place for our anniversary, but I wouldn't hold my breath!

I inked up Kissy by Mo Manning from Stamping Bella because I love how cheeky she appears - and we are not the mushy card couple!  The image is stamped with mementos ink and coloured with copics.  I used a turquoise atyou spica pen on the dots on the crown, her belt & shoes.  In the glowers I used a gel pen - didn't want to make it too glittery for hubby.  The ds paper is MME's Lime Twist; life of the party.  I actually put a sentiment on my card (comes with the stamp) and stitched around the layers.

Please stop by the rest of the Sweet Sunday Stampers blogs and I hope you can play along with us this week; remember to link you card on Karen's blog.

Thanks for stopping by & have yourself a great day!!

Get your Ribbon On....

This weeks Bellariffic Friday's theme was to use ribbon on your card - YEP as easy as that to play along with us!!

For my card I inked up one of those sweet Pixies that come in a four set (how perfect is that?!) The Pixies are the amazing design work of Tiddly Inks and I was so excited when Stamping Bella introduced them.  Now from the image I'm working clockwise so I'm calling this sweet one Persephone (not the easiest name!!)  The image is stamped with mementos ink onto bella's bestest paper and coloured with copics.  On the black dots on her dress I added some black atyou spica dots and on her wand I used a clear atyou spica pen.  I added some shading using pencils & gamsol and finished her off with some glitter.  The ds paper is MME's Stella & Rose Mabel.  I stitched around the layers and added some yellow & chocolate ribbon.

Please stop by Bloggabella to see the rest of the Babe's creations & what the Sistah's sent in.  Next week's challenge is STELLA or BELLA - use either one on your card and email it to Em by Thursday to be included - you could win yourself some Bella bucks!

Thanks for stopping by - see ya Sunday!

Thanks a Bunch

I didn't get this squeezed in on time to play along (so close) but here is my take on MFTWSC26.  I needed a Thank You card for my husband's amazing assistant who went above & beyond the other week for us - she really is the best!

I used MFT's Thanks a bunch set and MFT's Dizzy Doily die-namics.   The ds paper is basic greys Sweet Threads.  I added some ribbon, and meant to sew on it but realized I forgot after it was stuck together!!

Thanks for stopping by I hope you have a great day

A long Weekend Sweet Sunday Sketch

Happy Sunday!  I hope everyone in Canada & the USA are enjoying their long weekends!  Hubby was on a plane most of our holiday (July 1) so he is taking Monday off so we have an extra long weekend for golf & biking!  Karen has another great sketch for us to play along with (SSSC124)

For my card I finally inked up this sweet Pixie image by Tiddly Inks from Stamping Bella - Posie Pixie.  The image is stamped with mementos ink onto bella's bestest paper and coloured with copics.  I paper pieced the pixie onto the image & paper pieced her dress.  I added some glitter to the centres of some of the flowers; others I used an orange atyou spica pen.  The DS paper is MME's Stella & Rose - Mabel.  I added some rhinestones and a sculpture flower instead of the sentiment panel (why oh why do I have such an adverse reaction to sentiment panels)  That being said I didn't flip this sketch!!

Please stop by the rest of the Sweet Stampers blogs to see their take on Karen's sketch and remember to link your card on Karen's blog if you have a chance to play along with us

Thanks for stopping by & enjoy the rest of your weekend!!

July Calendar

Happy Canada Day to all the Canadian Blogger out there!!  We took this week off from Bellariffic Fridays because of Canada Day but my calendar page is a sweet Bella image.

For this months calendar I chose Gratty 'tude which is stamped with mementos ink onto bella's bestest paper and coloured with copics.  I used a red atyou spica pens on the hearts and paper pieced them (I know crazy!!)  I added some tiny rhinestones to the centres of the flowers

Next weeks Bellariffic Friday's theme is to ribbon on your card.  Email your cards to Em by Thursday to be included and if you are missing us hop over to Forumabella where Jessabella is hosting bella's book club.

I hope everyone enjoys their long weekends and thanks for stopping by!!
