Cheers to the end of 2014....

As the New Year approaches (seriously where did this year go?!) I like to go back through my blog and share some of my favourite cards from each month.  What I did discover is I didn't stamp as much as usual - and right now I can say I missed it.  I miss playing along with a lot of the sketch challenges and playing with different stamps so hopefully I will be a little more structured in 2015 and do all that I hope!

January - Stamping Bella's Uptown Girl Bianca Loves her big Cake

February - This card was for Bloggabella's ribbon or washi challenge - Seniorita's  Mildred and Maude.  Oh how I love Stamping Bella's Seniorita's!

March - for this card I used some distress markers to colour Helga one Hot chick; something I hope to do more in the new year

For April I chose a card I made for SSSC217 - I love the look of a sentiment card with flowers

May's card is Stamping Bella's Uptown Girl Paisley has a Prezzie; I love how she is holding the present behind her back.

In June Bloggabella's challenge was to do a one layer wonder card; now I cheated a wee bit but I do like the clean look of this car.  The image is Stamping Bella's Flower for a True Friend which I love.

For July I picked this Senior-ita Gloria card because I love the image and sentiment that goes with it - Do more of what makes you happy; perfect words for the new year no?!

In August Leslieabella came to visit me and we played with some pastes and inks and from that I created this card for SSSC233.

Sept brought a release from Stamping Bella and sweet Snookums and the perfect sentiment

October I started getting some of my Christmas cards made and I hadn't inked up this week Mo Manning image from Stamping Bella yet - Hannah with her Wreath

Nov I had to pick another Seniorita - to me these images are just too much fun I love how Senior-ita Emra is trying not to drop the gifts.

Naturally for December I had to pick a Holiday card - this one was for SSSC249 - it was a challenging sketch for me and I almost didn't make a card so you know that means I love how it turned out!

Wishing you and your families the very best in 2015!!  Happy New Year

Last Bellariffic Friday of 2014!!

Today is our last Bellariffic Friday challenge for 2014 - where has the year gone?!

This week we had a sketch - I flipped the sketch and changed the embellishment; remember a sketch is a suggestion

Form my card I used Uptown Girl Paisley has a Prezzie.

The image is stamped with memento tuxedo black ink and coloured with copics.  I added some sparkle on her white stripes with a clear wink of stella pen.  I added some tags and a few sequins to finish it off

I kept the colour theme on the inside of my card and again added the tags.

Please stop by Bloggabella to see the rest of the babes and sistah's creations.

We will be back Jan 9, 2015 with our first Bellariffic Friday challenge of 2015!!

Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, and Happy New Year!!

Sweet Sunday 249

Today's our last Sweet Sunday Sketch (SSSC249)  for 2014!!  Karen made this one a little tricky for me....

I had one idea in my head then when looking for an embossing folder I came across a Happy Holidays die from Dee's Distinctively and I knew it was perfect

The paper is from my stash, the DP is from MME but I can't recall which line!  The embossed snowflakes is from cuttlebug

Please stop by the rest of the Sweet Sunday Stampers blogs to see their creations and if you play along with us remember to link your card on Karen's blog

We're taking time off from Sweet Sunday Sketches until the new year - we will be back Jan 4, 2015 with SSSC250!

Winter Inspiration

Today's Bellariffic Friday challenge was a beautiful winter scene

For my card I decided to keep it simple and went with all all white.

How to make a snowman is stamped with memento tuxedo black ink and coloured with copics.  For the background I embossed white card stock with swiss dots then stitched the layer.  I then finished it off with some white sequins.

Please stop by Bloggabella to see the rest of the babes and sistah's creations.  Next week is our last challenge of the year and it's a sketch - Email your card to Em by Thursday to be included on Bloggabella.

Sweet Sunday 248

Karen has a great sketch for us this week (SSSC248) and I flipped the sketch and  took the opportunity to use if for a couple of Thank you cards we need for an amazing trip we went on last month.  Hubby was invited to Cape Town for the Volvo Ocean Race by Helly Hansen who sponsor one of the teams (an all female team!) and I tagged along- I mean South Africa how could I not go?!  This race is amazing it takes them 9 months to complete with stops along the way.  Last week one of the teams crashed on a reef in the night; I am addicted to the app and watch the updates every night!

For my card I used the team colours as my starting off point (Team SCA).  The Thank You is a die from memory box.  I then printed 3 photos from our time in Cape Town (we then went on a safari for 3 days after going that far - the safari was AMAZING)

Please stop by the rest of the Sweet Sunday Stampers blogs to see their creations and if you play along with us this week remember to link your card on Karen's blog

Holiday Sketch

Hope everyone has had a great week - the cold weather has left Calgary and now its a sloppy melty mess!  At least it's warm.

Todays Bellariffic Friday challenge was a sketch - I decided to make another Christmas card; you can never have too many!

I used an older Christmas image from Stamping Bella - Frostier

The image is stamped with memento tuxedo black ink and coloured with copics.  The dp is Bo Bunny's Elf Magic Collection

Don't forget to stop by Bloggabella to see the rest of the babes and sistah's creations.  Next week we have an inspiration challenge for you.  Email your card to Em by Thurs to be included on Bloggabella
