Coffee? Tea?

I do like both but I must say I am partial to my java!! I was able to play along with MFTSC100 this week over on SCS - wow 100!

For my card I used MFT's Who's that Girl Coffee? Tea? set. The image is stamped with mementos ink and coloured with copics (well her skin is!) The dress is paper pieced with ds paper from cosmo crickets early bird 6x6 paper. The coffee cup is coloured with smooch as is the top of the table. I added some stickles to the steam coming from the cup.

The cb is white layered with navy and baja breeze cs, the red ds paper is also from cosmo cricket and it is layered on navy. I added some navy ribbon and in the corner I used red adornments.

Thanks for stopping by -

Who Doesn't LOVE Shoes!

In our house I think Hubby has more shoes then me - he is forever bringing home a new pair someone sent him, or he had a great "deal" on so now our rule is one pair in one pair out!

I saw this paper from My Minds Eye's Abbey Road collection & had to have it for Imeldabella how perfect is that?! I stamped the image on bella's bestest paper & coloured her with copics. The image is cut with nesties and layered on the DS paper. The sentiment is also from Stamping Bella. I wanted to have the paper as the only embellishment.

Thanks for stopping by & have a great day!!

Happy Friday!

Hope everyone had a great week, did you see all the amazing releases at Stamping Bella this week?! I am a very long list of stuff I "need"!

Since it's Friday you know that means it's Bellariffic Friday, and this week we had a sketch from my BFF and fellow Babe Karen.

I am excited to show you another new release that made the journey home from Toronto with me, I chose Coco Has Cuppycake for my Bellariffic card this week. The image is stamped with mementos ink onto Bella's Bestest paper and coloured with copics, I cut the image with a scalloped circle and layered it onto 2 circles. The DS paper is from my stash and the cs is prism paper.

I added a ribbon and bow, this was my first solo attempt using the Bow-Easy which I picked up at Stamping Bella last week. The sentiment comes with the stamp (that's why I actually put a sentiment on my card!)

Make sure you stop by Bloggabella later today to see all the amazing creations!

Have a great day - see you tomorrow for the Lulu blog hop!

COME ON BE HAPPY....A STAMPING BELLA SNEAKY PEAKY

It's release day over at Stamping Bella & Emily will be updating her blog all day with the new stuff. I was lucky enough to have some new stamps make the trip home with me, and if you live near the store go in she has AMAZING stuff in there; how I miss her & my happy place!!

Now I'm not a bird girl (that's my BFF) but when I saw these ones I loved them - and I have to say the entire time I was making the card, and now posting it the Partridge family song has been going through my head!!

I found a new challenge blog thanks to Mercy - it's called Crazy 4 Challenges and they have new challenges on Saturdays and this month is sponsored by Stamping Bella!! I used last weeks challenge C4C3 and stamped What a Tweetie with mementos ink onto Bella's bestest paper and coloured them with copics. I paper pieced the wings, thought about the hearts but when I looked at the little ones I decided to stickle them instead! I also added some midnight light smooch to their lips, so they look glossy because I am all about gloss after the amazing stuff I bought last week!

The base is white, layered with Bermuda bay and melon mambo. The ds paper is from bella blvd and I paper pierced around the layers. I added some fuschia bella bonbons along the patterned paper.

Make sure you stop by Stamping Bella to see all the new releases & you have until Thursday at midnight to email Em your Bellariffic Friday card, click here for the sketch

Don't forget Saturday is the LULU blog hop, click here for all the details and hop along with all of us

Have a great day!

Back in Time

When I was in Franklin at Karen's I spent some time with Joanne B (isn't she just the sweetest?!) she gave me a bit of a hard time about neglecting my MFT stamps so I promised to try and play along with the challenges on SCS & yeah me I did this week!

This weeks challenge (MFTMFC17)
was to rewind in time & ink up one of your first MFT stamps. I remember loving the Who's that Girl cake stamp so I know You take the Cake was one of the first ones I bought! I used SC246 and coloured the image with copics. The CB is white, layered with rose red, and the ds paper is from WeR memory White Out line; this is layered on chocolate chip. The chocolate chip cs is embossed with cuttlebugs spots and dots.

On the cake I used 2 colours of smooch for the candles; pumpkin and snickerdoodle. On the cake's icing I added some star dust stickles

You have until Wednesday 10:00 am (I think eastern?!) to upload your card to SCS to have a chance to win 10.00 at the MFT store
Thanks for stopping by - have a great day & I'll see you tomorrow (maybe I have one or 2 new stamping bella stamps in my house...)

Poochie Christmas

Well I am home safe & sound & I must say after nearly 2 weeks it was sweet to be in my own bed last night!! I had an absolutely fantastic time at Karen's and in TO BUT I am one tired girl!

I made this card last week before leaving Karen's but didn't get the post done - we were having too much fun at Bare Essentials that night (how I wish that store was in Canada!!)

For this card I used Mercy's sketch from last week (technically still this week) MTSC39. Poochie is stamped with mementos ink and I paper pieced his shirt. The DS paper is from Making Memories (Falala) and it's layered on Prism Spring Willow medium and paper pierced. The bottom layer is bravo burgundy which I embossed with cuttlebugs swiss dots folders. I used build a brads but instead used crystal effects on top; which I love the look of & now I think my brads will get used! I finished it off with burgundy grosgrain ribbon.

I am off to put my stuff away; my stamping suitcase (yes it's separate from the clothes one - good thing I can check 2!) was much heavier on the way home so I am off to find my room so I can play with all my new stuff!!

Have a great day - make sure you pop over to Mercy's on Tuesday for this weeks sketch

Pumpkiny Bellariffic

Happy Friday!!!! I had a fantastic day at Bellaland (how couldn't you!!) and I am really excited about the new releases on Sept 26

For this weeks Bellariffic we used my sketch! I would say my style is very clean & simple but layers - so for my card I used Trickortreatabella. I used mementos ink and
coloured the image with copics, the pumpkin on bella is paper pieced to give it some dimension. I used atyou spica orange on the pumpkin seams and eyes.

The ds paper is from Basic Grey's Halloween paper line called Eerie - love this paper & the colours especially since they aren't all too
Halloween themed so I can use them year round.I added some bella dots crackle in orange along my strip of black grosgrain ribbon.

Make sure you stop by Bloggabella later today to see all the other amazing cards - have a great day I am winding up my whirlwind trip East & heading home Sunday, after 2 weeks I am looking forward to being home!

Wintery Bellariffic & a Birthday wish

First HAPPY BIRTHDAY MICHE!! I am so excited we are getting together at Bellaland - I have your card made but wanted you to be surprised so everyone else will have to wait until next week to see it!

Hopefully Birds Decorating Trees won't be happening for awhile!! For this card I used Mojo 103 as my inspiration.

Birds Decorating Trees is stamped with mementos ink on Bella's Bestest paper and coloured with copics. I added silver stickles for the decorations. I didn't want to layer my image so I coloured the edge of my image with a copic along the
embossed line.

The DS paper is from Pebbles and it's called Snow Fun. The card base is white layered with not quite navy and baja breeze cs which I embossed with cuttlebugs swiss dots and I paper pierced around the edges. On the ribbon I added some
bella dots glitter platinum.

Thanks for stopping by - don't forget there is the LULU blog hop Saturday Sept 26 click here for all the details to sign up. Don't forget Friday is Bellariffic Fridays so make sure you have your cards emailed to Em tonight.

Rainy Day Girl...

I've had a great time at Karen's and on the weekend I could have used my rainy day coat - I am hoping I don't need on when I go to Toronto tomorrow for the weekend!

I played along with MFTSC98 on SCS. I chose Rainy Day Friends from MFT as my image;
she is so stinking cute! I stamped the image with mementos ink and coloured the image with copics. I paper pieced her rain coat and pockets and boots. The umbrella is paper pieced and coloured with my clear glaze pen. I added some black twinkles to the jacket buttons.

The DS paper is from Scenic Route's Garden Grove line. The cb is white, layered with pumpkin pie paper and I paper pierced the ds paper around the edges.

Thanks so much for stopping by - off to pack since my time with Karen is done :( but I am looking forward to seeing all my friend in Toronto tomorrow

Angelic Bellariffic

YEAH Bellariffic Fridays are back & today we leave for Stamping Vermont, I am really excited about the event!

This weeks sketch was provided by our South African BABE Meahni. Halo Bella is stamped with mementos ink and coloured with copics, I did paper piece her dress to match the ds paper from Basic Greys 2 scoops collection. For the clouds I used liquid applique with glitter and let it dry so it didn't bubble. I added some String of Pearls Baubles from Stamping Bella

Make sure you stop by Bloggabella later today to see all the amazing cards & remember to leave a comment for a chance to win Bella Bucks

Hope you have a great weekend, I know Karen & I will have a great time & the wonderful Joanne with be cruising with us later today

More Birthday Bash Celebrating

Whew I managed to make another card so here are the final 2 cards I made for Taylored Expressions Birthday Bash. I played along in 10 of the challenges; thanks for all the inspiration!!

The first card I used a cupcake from Taylored Expressions Whimsical Wishes set For the Love of Cupcakes . I used Taylor's inspiration challenge (TEBBTV) for the theme and then used Laura's
sketch (TEBBLF)for the layout. I paper toled the cupcake (TEBBDE) and stitched (TEBBJP) my pattern paper from Taylored Expressions For the Love of Cupcakes Key ingredients

For this card a cupcake from Taylored Expressions Doctor's Orders. The image is stamped on Taylor's Choice Snow White cs and coloured with copics. For this card I used Karen's sketch (TEBBKG) and Charmaine's
colour (TEBBCI) challenge except I used Kiwi Kiss for my green. I ended up paper piecing on this card too, you know it's one of my favourite things to do!

I hope you had a chance to play along with the challenges and have a great day!

Sleepy in Mass...

Good morning I arrived safe & sound at my BFF's yesterday morning - and yes she did meet me with a latte and a big hug! I managed to sleep for about an hour on the flight, and a little dozing but that was it, so I was a sleepy girl yesterday! After a shower & lunch we hit Karen's stamp room & I managed to make 2 cards while entertaining Karen with the lack of brain power (it really was bad) BUT in 2 cards I was able to play along with Taylored Expressions Birthday Bash and did 8 of the challenges (4 per card) YEAH SLEEPY!!
Here's the first card I made using the sweet new set from Taylored Expressions called Trick or Treat II; I really like this set because you don't have to just use the images for Halloween, this will be my nephews birthday card it's in October so I am ahead of schedule!

I used one of the sketch challenges from the birthday bash, the one done by my BFF! (TEBBKM)
The image is stamped with mementos ink onto Taylor's choice snow white paper and coloured with copics. I paper pieced (TEBBDB) his mask and cape. The colours are from Prism and are Intense Teal, Rose Medium, and Sunflower Medium (TEBBJC) On the Intense Teal I used my new Spellbinders Impressabilities circles. I added buttons along the strip (TEBBSK) and some Xmas Red stickles to his "S" and on top of his head.

I will post the other card later, we are off to shop a little this afternoon - it's amazing how rejuvenated you can feel when you actually get some sleep! I did last until 10:30 last night, which is an early be time for me but under the circumstances was very impressive!

Have a great day

Ruby & Rose or Dana & Karen ???

I do believe Ruby & Rose from the LULU collection at Stamping Bella are my & my BFF Karen whose house I arrive at today - FAR EARLIER then expected!!! Yes she is happy because I am an idiot & instead of booking my ticket for 1pm I booked it for 1am meaning instead of arriving tonight I am arriving THIS MORNING!! Yep nice girl but not to bright... my eyes will be closed today but not because I'm shy it's because I'm napping!

I went back and used one of Mercy's sketches that I missed from Aug 18 and inked Ruby & Rose up with memento's ink & coloured them with copics, orange for me & pink for Karen. The DS paper is from My Minds Eye calle OH LA LA

The flowers are sprayed with glimmer mist (something I am introducing Karen to this week) and I added a bella bonbons to the centre and along the scallop edges & sewed with orange thread

Thanks for stopping by, I am excited to see my BFF today, albeit earlier then expected but I know she will great me with open arms & a latte in hand...

Manly Ketto...

Here's Mercy's sketch from Sept 1, I love to play along but was a little slow this week - if you haven't had a chance to play along stop by Mercy's blog on Tuesday for this weeks sketch!

I used Manly Ketto Set from Stamping Bella and coloured the images with copics. The card base is cream and the card stock is from Prisma colours. The DS paper is from Cosmo Cricket. I didn't add any glitter since it's suppose to be a masculine card, just the ribbon because I had to add something!

Don't forget to send Em your Bellariffic cards for this week, she gave us extra time to get them done (and I actually did mine ahead of time!!) Remember everyone who plays along is entered to win Bella bucks

Hope you have a great day -

I am really hoping find some time to take part in Taylored Expressions Birthday Bash this weekend it shoulds like a lot of fun! Click here to get all the details it sounds like it's going to be a lot of fun!

In honour of TE birthday bash I pulled out my August Key Ingredients - if you haven't used these they are amazing; no thinking or searching everything you need for your card is in one package!

I used this weeks SCS244 and I inked up my new MFT stamp Coffee With Flopsey and coloured him with lyras & mineral spirits . I stamped the image on the Buttercream paper that came in the kit. I added some lace stickles to the slippers & used red Smooch (who doesn't love smooch?!) for the coffee cup. The DS from the kit is from Pebbles & the line is called Linnie Bell.

Thanks for stopping by, hope you have a chance to take part in the Birthday Bash

Reading & writing....

In honour of school I choose Bookwormabella for my calender this month.

When I was in school (just the other year really) we didn't go back until after the September long weekend but here in Calgary a lot of the kids are already back in school; which means there are a lot of happy moms! The neighbourhood has definately been quiet since mid last week & of course we finally had some nice summer days!

Hope you all had a great summer I am getting excited about my trip to my BFF's and going to Stamping Around Vermont then to Toronto and a trip to Bellaland (Leslie & I will be there on the 17th to all my Toronto area friends!!)

Happy reading

Dana
