Trying something new...

Happy Friday - I hope you all had a great week.  I'm slowly getting over my cold but I must admit it's slowed me down a ton!    I'm now the proud owner of the new distress markers (I think that's what helped with my recovery!) so I decided to try to colour with them for my Bellariffic Friday card today.

I chose a beautiful image from Paula's (Paulabella)Summer Day's.  The image is stamp with versafine black ink onto watercolour paper and coloured with the distress markers and a watercolour brush.  The distress inks I used were peeled paint, pine needles, spiced marmalade and barn door.  I then used stormy sky distress ink and sponged the background.  The wonderful think is you can sponge right over the coloured image & the inks don't pick up the colour - BRILLIANT!!   I added some glitter and rhinestones to the flowers.

The ds paper is Teresa Collins Fabrications - Canvas layered on orange and black cs and I added some sewing to my bottom layer.  The scallops are done with mft's scallop die-namic then I added some black ribbon to finish it off.

Please stop by Bloggabella to see the rest of the creations AND to welcome our newest Babe Katarina Menzies!! Next weeks Bellariffic Fridays theme is a sketch - email your card to Em by Thursday to be included and you can win some Bellabucks!!

Thanks for stopping by & have a great day

Things have been crazy busy, I have not had the chance to visit, but I absolutely love what I am seeing. As always, a gorgeous card, so tranquil !!
