Last week while at my LSS I was introduced to Mixed Media inks - I was intrigued and with some explanation from Kate I decided to give them a try; so I bought all the shades they had in stock!
I started with a piece of watercolour paper and on about 1/3 of the cardstock I applied some gesso. Once this dried I then applied several colours of the inks - chiffon, patina and school house. The gesso gives a different sheen on the paper when dried with the ink. The inks stay wet for a bit so I could spread the colour around with my finger. Once the inks dried I then stamped my image from Stamping Bella- Blow a Kiss with black soot distress ink. I coloured in the two hearts with a brick red distress marker. I wanted the image and back ground to be the focus of my card so I didn't add too much, just a few layers of cardstock matching the shades of ink I used.
Remember this weeks Bellariffic Fridays theme is "Anything Goes" - ink any stamping bella image and email your card to Em by Thursday to be included on Bloggabella and you have a chance to win some bella bucks
