A Snowball Story...

I was counting my Christmas cards - I only have 75 (including 15 that are 1/2 made) so I have about another 30 to go! When I finished this card tonight I wished I made more then 6, although I am not sure how mail friendly they are they are pretty thick!

I saw this great challenge on Crazy 4 Challenges (C4C10) this week to make an easel card, which I have never done so I wanted to try (click here for the instructions). I used Elzybell's Mischievous and a "made a snowball" as my stamps & I was really happy with how it turned out. The directions are to add a brad or button to hold the card in place, but my bases are 130lb cardstock so I didn't need to add anything & it took away from the "made a snowball" story.

Mischievous is stamped with mementos ink and coloured with copics, I added some purple Taylor's Tiny Twinkles for the buttons on her coat. For the snowballs and snow on the ground I used liquid applique and ultra fine glitter & just let it dry, for the snow falling I used my quickie glue pen and the same glitter. The DS paper is from Fancy Pants Arctic Chill collection called Snowball

Thanks for stopping by, I hope you are closer to finishing your Christmas cards then I am!!

Dana
copics: BG000, BG01, V09, BV08, E44, E47, E000, E00, R02, RV17, Blender pen

Cute! I'll have to try that kind of card. You have 75 Christmas cards made which means you're about 70 ahead of me!!!! :)

This is a great card, I love the layout, keep thinking I must try it, but then I am always in a hurry, don't have time for new things :-(
