You Crack Me Up!!

Happy Friday!!  This weeks Bellariffic Fridays theme was Easter - I must confess I don't make a lot of Easter cards so this will probably be my one & only.

I inked up on of Stamping Bella's sweet Huggabuggs - Cracked Up Huggabugg by Christy Croll. The image is stamped 4 times onto bella's bestest cream paper and coloured with copics and pencils (I used a pencil for the chicks).  I layered the image several times - first the original image is cut out with a nesties then I added the cracked egg around the huggabugg.  On that I layered the flower on the top and the chicks, then layered their eggs on them.  The flower on her hat is also layered to give dimension to the card.

The ds paper is MME Stella & Rose Gertie which I used a Martha Stewart flower border punch and added some tiny rhinestones to the centre of the flowers and the one on her hat and the top of the egg.  I added some glitter to her wings.

Next weeks Bellariffic Fridays theme is a SKETCH!!  I hope you can play along with us this week- email your card to Em by Thursday to be included and you can win some bella bucks.

Thanks so much for stopping by and have a great day!!

Great minds think alike - I used the same image! Wish I'd popped my egg up like you did. LOVE the texture on the aqua bluish paper and all your layers!!

I love seeing the creativity in others because it is through them that we grow. What I mean is that I never would have thought to color the shell a neutral natural shade. But of course isnt't that what most eggs look like? You did a super job shading - this looks so realistic!
