This weeks Bellariffic Fridays theme was to make a Birthday card, which was perfect since I am always needing them!
For my card I took a non birthday image and made it into my birthday card. I have a wonder girlfriend in Toronto whose birthday was yesterday and Uptown Girl Pippa loves to Plant was perfect for her. When we were neighbours she used to help me plant my garden and she loved doing it. I used to drive her crazy because I would wait until the end of May to plant, which is necessary in Calgary but wasn't in Toronto
Pippa is stamped with memento tuxedo black ink onto bella's bestest white cs and coloured with both copics and pencils with gamsol. The shading around the image is done with pencils and gamsol (no distress inks this time!) I added some glitter around the image and in the centre of all the flowers I used atyou spica pens. The ds paper for her apron, gloves, bandana and background is MME's Indie Chic ginger. The sentiment is from Stamping bella's Ramona Loves Cake.
On the inside of the card I used the sentiment that came with the stamp. The flower on the inside is MFT's flower & leaf trio die-namics.
Don't forget to stop by Bloggabella to see the rest of the babes and sistahs Birthday creations. Next week is Sketch week. Email your card to Em by Thursday to be included on the Bloggabella Bellariffic Fridays and you could win some bella bucks
Thanks for stopping by & have a great day

Wow Dana, this is beautiful. Your friend will love this card. Love that you kept the background simple, fantastic colouring and the buttons are a nice accent to finish this off.
Love that you used a non birthday image and her shirt is adorable! I want one just like it! The inside is adorable too!
I took a non birthday image too! I love this card Dana - the background paper is a perfect one and I adore her apron and bandana and those gardening gloves!! Beautiful shading - so soft and love the grass...was that pencils too or distress inks? Don't you love doing the insides too - my new fav!
What a perfect birthday card! Love how you've put it all together... love the glitter and especially the paper piecing. Nice job. 8)
